4 families/ 16 people travelling 3 weeks in St Lanka to discover local wonders and experiences: this is the challenge we gave Manju and everything was simply perfect! We communicated initially and also before the arrival through WhatsApp where we received a competitive offer for the whole Group and also the possibility to decide, with his guidance, step by step what to do: Indeed we wanted to visit the main beauties of the country but also to have some time to relax at the sea, and, given the kids/ teenagers travelling with us, we did not want the whole trip to have somehow an "experience" taste. Before our arrival he took care of the logistics setup with a proper minibus, of the suggestion/ negotiation/ booking of hotels, of main activities booking always keeping in mind the Group we were. From the arrival to the departure everything was then managed without pressure, without rush and without the feeling of being on trip: the feeling was actually more like travelling with a local friend who could explain the peculiarities of the country while also play with kids!…

Wonderful trip in the company of Manju

We just returned from a three-week trip with family and friends, a wonderful experience made even more unforgettable by our guide Manju. Very kind and knowledgeable. The Best Holiday with Shehan

Two week trip through Sri Lanka arranged by this operation with assigned driver Vishva Jayatunga. If I could give this operation and driver 10 stars or more, I would The company provided top notch service checking in with me every couple days to make sure everything was going as planned (I developed the detailed itinerary but they to make sure it was followed in such a way as to maximize my favorable experience in the country) Vishva and I spent two weeks together covering 1,900 Kilometers in the car allow me to experience a once in a lifetime adventure over many locations I have been all over the world, (both business and personal), worked with many travel companies, drivers, etc how many cultures. . Vishva by far, was the best in terms of true partnership, pleasant personality, dedication to making sure I got the most out of my trip. There were many instances where such dedication added immeasurably to my Sri Lanka experience. These instances included stops and visits beyond the itinerary which provided opportunities to personally experience local cultures (Yes, Sri Lanka does have multiple cultures) as well as relaxation points and jungle outings.…

Sri Lanka is better with Saman!

This island is an absolute gem—mountains and lush jungles, vibes that just make you want to kick back and soak it all in. The food is the real magic... spicy, flavorful, and so good you’ll be dreaming about it for months... But hands down, the best part? The people. Everyone’s got a smile for you. So welcoming, so warm, and just… happy. It’s like the whole country runs on good vibes. 10/10, but with Saman is a solid 11/10!!! He drives safe and steady, reaches the places and then gives you a nice introduction!!! Saman is the best!

14 unforgettable days in Sri Lanka thanks to Manju and Lanka I Leisure!

Outstanding service from start to finish – highly recommended!

This was my first time using Lanka i Leisure, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were recommended to me by my cousin, and I organised everything from the UK before travelling to Sri Lanka through WhatsApp with the owner, Manju. The whole booking process was straightforward, and Manju was always quick to respond and very helpful. I was assigned Mayura as my driver for the week, and he was absolutely fantastic. He was waiting for me at the airport with a warm welcome to Sri Lanka, which immediately put me at ease. We travelled all the way from the airport to Jaffna in a spotless Honda Grace, and throughout the journey he drove safely, carefully, and always respected the speed limits. Mayura stayed with me throughout my week in Jaffna and was always available whenever I needed him. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Before I flew back to the UK, I spent a night in Colombo, and he took the time to show me some of the sights and sounds of Colombo 3, which was a great way to end my trip. We met a new friend, Manju!

Our driver and a new friend Manju was the best!!! Why?! First time traveling around with a driver was an experience we will not forget. Manju helped us in so many ways (reservations, changing the money, suggestions what is worth seeing, which food to try, taking us to places that we wanted to explore and so many more). He even stopped for taking pictures of almost all big trees on our way ;-) And he was always on time, always nice and such a good manners as his ancestores were royalty. Manju was also a really good interpreter and listener. Driving around Sri Lanka was super, even in the tiniest mountain roads or at crazy city traffic. He made feel great Tara (almost 12 years old) - so on the end of our holidays she was really sad that he couldn't go home with us. But they made a promise for the future, to visit. We really felt that we got a new friend and will try to keep in touch! We deffinetely reccomend service of Manju and his coworkers at Lanka in Leisure to other people!

Careful top Guide

We are a family of 4 with 2 little boy and had a 8 day trip in Sri Lanka. Manju was a wonderful guide. He took care of us from the first day with pick up from Negombo. He drive us all the way long to all the nice places and provided lots of precious recommendations and tips. He booked for us all the tickets many of the attraction places and kids really liked him. Good private driving

Vishva was punctual, kind, and had ideas of places to stop. He always made sure we were able to get in places without confusion (I.e. walking us to entrances and ticket counters). Car was comfortable and AC worked well. Helpful to have a private driver to get around.

The best driver and guide we had in Sri Lanka—highly recommend!

Manju made our trip truly memorable, without him we wouldn’t have enjoyed it half as much! We had him for 5 days out of our 10-day trip and he was exceptional from start to finish. Truly warm, genuine & kind! He is a professional, safe, and incredibly patient driver with a comfortable & clean car. An unforgettable 10 days across Sri Lanka

My friend and I travelled from Sydney for a 10-day tour covering Negombo, Sigiriya, Kandy, Adam's Peak, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Udawalawe, and the southern coast — and Lanka i Leisure made every day seamless. Our driver Shehan was outstanding. He was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind from the moment he picked us up at the airport late at night. We had a pretty punishing schedule — early morning Adam's Peak climb, long drives between the highlands and the coast — and he handled it all with a smile. He went above and beyond sharing local history, cultural insights, and tips during the long drives, which really brought the country to life for us. The food recommendations alone were worth the trip. Every lunch and dinner spot he suggested was exceptional, and he was always mindful of our vegetarian diet. Excellent first experience hiring a guide

We recently completed a 21 day trip around Sri Lanka with Lanka i Leisure. The booking process and planning was seamless and there was excellent communication. Our driver was an excellent guide, a safe and professional driver, highly knowledgable and we had a lot of fun. A Wonderful Stay

We booked two three day trips with i leisure and found the booking process and pricing excellent. Communication was quick and clear, we found them to be very professional. Both drivers were punctual and polite, the cars clean and appeared to be in good order. Our second driver was exceptional.

4 weeks trip through Sri Lanka with Lanka i Leisure

We (an older couple) spent 24 days traveling through Sri Lanka with Manju. (Including Colombo, Galle, Tissamarahama, Kandy, Ella, Knuckles, Sigyrya, Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Jaffna, and Anaradhapura). He’s an excellent driver and guide and speaks good English. We opted to arrange the route and hotels ourselves, but he’s also perfectly capable of handling this for us. He knows all the ins and outs and has contacts everywhere. For example, we had him arrange safaris and a tuk-tuk ride. Everything was taken care of smoothly and on time. Manju senses what we as tourists want and acts accordingly, regardless of his own opinion. He also offers other ideas, but he lets you make your own choices. He’s always cheerful, always on time, always available, and does everything he can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If he needs to pick you up from a restaurant late at night, that’s no problem either. The car is clean and fresh every day, always stocked with fresh water and snacks/cookies. The car itself is also comfortable (we opted for a large one). If you choose Manju, you’re sure to have a great time in Sri Lanka.

Through wonderful Sri Lanka with Vishva

We did a 2 week tour of Sri Lanka. Our driver Vishva really brought us close to the country and people. He always had good tips for trips and has responded well to our wishes. He was always extremely punctual and reliable and, in addition, a very safe and prudent driver. We took him into our hearts.

10/10 Sri Lankan Experience

We spent an amazing 7 days travelling around Sri Lanka with our private driver Sunimal also known as Neil booked through Lanka Leisure and it was such a great experience from start to finish. Sunimal was always on time friendly and very professional. He made us feel completely safe on the roads and we were so comfortable that we often fell asleep between destinations. The car was always clean and comfortable which made the longer drives really easy and relaxing. During the week he helped us organise excursions and adjust our itinerary along the way so everything ran smoothly. His local knowledge really helped us make the most of our time and see as much as possible without feeling rushed. We loved all the small touches too, the photos, the funny chats and some of the things he would just randomly stop to buy us on the way to different destinations. 12 days of fun

We completed a 12 day tour with Lanka Leisure from Colombo to Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Mirrissa and Galle Fort. Roshan was a first class driver, he always ensured our safety and was always on hand whenever we needed him, his English was excellent and he also took us to some unusual places which we hadn’t considered before. Communications with both Lanka Leisure and Roshan was also exemplary both before our during our holiday, I would highly recommend.

Amazing trip and honeymoon! Manju is great!!!!

We traveled around Sri Lanka for two weeks on our honeymoon and are so grateful we had Manju as our driver and guide! Manju went out of his way to make sure our itinerary made sense, we had interesting activities, and we were having FUN on the trip. We are a pretty independent couple and Manju was great at working with our schedule and what we wanted to do each day. We had an incredible time with Vishva! He has been more than just a driver. Vishva genuinely cared about our experience and has collected many contacts across Sri Lanka who provide the best activities which would be impossible alone! Fantastic 11 days in Sri Lanka with a wonderful driver / guide

We had a fantastic time in Sri Lanka made even more memorable thanks to our fantastic driver and guide Manju. During the trip he became more of a friend than simply a driver. There were times when I would go off and climb hills whilst my wife stayed to have a juice or coffee. Manju would keep her company. But also if we both went on the hike he would come with us. From the very beginning when we were booking the trip Manju provide us with an outline itinerary which we expanded upon and agreed with him. The communication prior to travel was very efficient and clear. As our trip / tour progressed the itinerary could become flexible. If we wanted to spend more or less time or explore something else this was not a problem, Manju would organise it seamlessly. Manju was vey knowledgeable about the different areas we visited and took pride in explaining to us about the wonderful country and different cultures. Whilst the roads and traffic in Sri Lanka are very different from the UK we always felt safe whilst travelling around. It was certainly worthwhile using a guide as many hidden gems or interesting bits of information we would have missed. We couldn't recommend Manju more.…

Amazing 8-days experience in Sri Lanka with driver

We booked a private driver with Lanka i Leisure for a 8-days trip around Sri Lanka, and overall it was a fantastic experience. Our driver (Sunimal) was always punctual and very professional, making us feel so safe during the drives that we regularly fell asleep between destinations ;) The car was clean and comfortable for long drives between destinations. He also helped us arrange several excursions and fine-tune our itinerary along the way, making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. We really appreciated his kindness, especially when he suddenly stopped during some drives to buy and let us try fresh local fruits, which we absolutely loved and felt like a very personal and genuine touch. 7 day trip across Sri Lanka

We booked a 7 day trip across Sri Lanka and our driver Nalin was a star throughout the trip. The car was clean, comfortable and very spacious and Nalin made us feel safe in the otherwise busy Sri Lankan traffic. Nalin provided friendly and genuine guidance throughout the trip and showed us great lunch spots and helped with local expertise at all the different locations we visited. We can definitely recommend travelling with Lanka i Leisure and especially Nalin.

The best driver in Sri Lanka. More than five stars

In November 2025 we drove 15 days through Sri Lanka with Lanka i Leisure and with Manju as driver and owner. Originally we wanted to explore the south, the highlands and Sigiriya. Due to Cyclone Ditwah and associated flooding and roadblocks we had to change the route and after as in Ella were back to the south. Despite these terrible circumstances for Sri Lanka, the trip was perfect thanks to Manju! Manju is an exceptional driver: very careful, safe and very pleasant and humorous as a human being. He knows the country and the people very well and finds the ideal balance between exciting information and quiet moments while driving. When the weather messed up our plans, he took care of everything – constantly checking the road conditions, suggesting alternatives and making sure we felt safe and in good hands at all times. His car, a spacious and well-kept Toyota Prius with excellent air conditioning, was very comfortable. Particularly attentive: There was always fresh water and delicious local sweets in the car. In the end, Manju even surprised us with a loving gift – a gesture we will never forget.…

Worth every penny and more - 10/10 experience

My friends and I have a fantastic 16 days travelling with Manju and Asel. Manju was engaging, organised and accommodating, and his knowledge Sri Lanka and support with excursions and our itinerary made our trip special. Asel was a patient and friendly driver and never made us feel a burden. Anyone I speak to that will be visiting Sri Lanka I will be recommending this company for their travel.

Udawalawe safari

we had a very clean car and our driver is very friendly but some times we felt unsafe with him with dangerous driving. we saw only 3-4 elephants in Udawalawe national park and some crocodiles ,birds. our driver says due to raining last night no animals .elephant Transit home is very nice experience. When a driver becomes a friend

Sept 2025 • Couples Our 9 days with Manju – more than just a driver 🌟 🇱🇰🐘 We spent a total of 9 days with Manju from 16.09. to 24.09.2025 – and what can we say: a taxi driver became a friend for us. Our route went from Negombo → Kandy → Sigiriya → Trincomalee → via Arugam Bay to Ella and finally to Mirissa. Already when we picked up at the hotel we knew: This is going to be special! Trip of a Lifetime!

Wow what a trip of a lifetime! We spent 3 weeks travelling around Sri Lanka middle to end of August. We didn’t know that having a driver was a common thing in Sri Lanka but one of our friends recommended it and I’m so glad we did it. I had been a bit nervous about so much travelling with the kids (we stopped in 9 different places with 2-3 hours between each), but actually because it was so comfy, had AC, and neither of us adults had to drive, it was a great experience as there was so much to look at out the windows and we could also play games etc with the kids. Our route was this: Negombo, Kandy, Dambulla, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Arugam Bay, Ella, then near Galle and finally Colombo. Loved it all! Eranga was super friendly, helpful and great company throughout. It felt a huge benefit having someone from Sri Lanka with us as he got the best prices, gave advice on where to go and what to do, and we always felt safe and looked after. He helped us with our itinerary and when we wanted to change it that was fine too.…

Wonderful journey.

We travelled with Manju and it was a unique experience. Even before leaving, he helps you with the itinerary and is super helpful to make you enjoy the best of his country. He took care of organizing all the activities, buying tickets for the attractions, contacting guides and hotels and always finding the best possible prices, so we didn't have to think about anything. Even when we needed to change the itinerary of a day during the trip he was immediately ready to rearrange in the best way. Ten days in Sri Lanka

Wonderful 10-day round trip with driver Ferdi

It was our first time in Sri Lanka. We had done preliminary research at home on what we wanted to visit, went through that with Ferdi and he filled that in excellently. So he took us to the best National Park to spot elephants, we saw beautiful waterfalls, got a nice tour through tea fields. Along the way, he stopped regularly to show beautiful viewpoints. Ferdi gave us enough information about what we could do and made sure everything was perfectly arranged, so we didn't have to worry about the practicalities and could fully enjoy the tour. Ferdi always gave us good information about customs in Sri Lanka and the places we visited. He also gave us good tips on where to eat in the evening and the maximum cost of a tuktuk. Every morning, Ferdi was waiting for us nicely on time to load our luggage so that we could quickly leave for the next activity. We would like to thank Ferdi once again for this indelible memory.

Fantastic first experience in Sri Lanka

Hiring a driver was the best choice we could have made for our first visit to Sri Lanka! My boyfriend and I were welcomed by Vishva at Colombo International Airport at 3:30 am with a flower necklace and we were ready to leave for Sigiriya. During our trip Vishva pampered us by giving us some typical local food that we really appreciated. The itinerary we provided to the agency was followed quite precisely except for one day when we had chosen to go to both Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa on the same day but we were told there was no time. In any case, Vishva/agency included other typical local activities such as visiting some Buddhist temples where we participated in Sinhalese religious ceremonies. We believe that there is good value for money as the cost was maintained as agreed upon at the time of booking. Vishva showed us the best solution to see everything we wanted to see respecting the times especially when, for a couple of days, we asked him to leave at 6:00 am 😬. The cherry on the top, on the last day we were given a framed photo with all our photos taken by Vishva as a souvenir of the experience.…

Amazing trip to beautiful Sri Lanka April 2025

My husband, 19 year old son and I, recently travelled to Sri Lanka. Having sought recommendations for a driver we were directed to Lanka i Leisure. We used them to support the first part of our trip from flying into Colombo, travelling around various places for 9 days and finally settling on the south coast for the last part of our holiday. In practical terms, the company set up a WhatsApp group with us and checked in frequently before we arrived and during our stay, which was both reassuring and helpful. We had the absolute privilege of being allocated Ayantha as our driver and can say without hesitation that our experience was made so much richer and enjoyable thanks to him. From meeting us at the airport (after a night flight) he was friendly, articulate and considerate as well as giving us the benefit of his local knowledge and connections. We had planned much of our trip ourselves and shared it in advance, however he made suggestions and recommendations along the way that gave us such a broader and more enriching experience. I had some reservations initially that travelling for 9 days with a driver might be a challenge, however, I couldn’t have been more wrong.…

Hiring a taxi is the most efficient way to travel around Sri Lanka, but...

I will give the agent and our driver 5 star for their passion, effort and safe drive to make us happy but there are several points that they can improve for their future clients. - Our driver's manner was sometimes not professional. After the tour, he WhatsApped me and said "I can only park the car at his hotel up to 9 AM next day. But I can manage.". We felt that he indirectly asked us to change our departure time to early. morning. Also, he somehow messaged us that his accommodation was suddenly cancelled by an owner while we enjoyed our free time. This was a bit disturbance. The agent and the driver should be responsible for their accommodations and car parks during tours. It is NOT clients' problem. I even shared our travel plan a few weeks before the travel date. Hence, they should have know-how to handle their accommodations and cars. After he dropped us off at airport on the last day, he messaged me "he is worried because we did not take a photo with him." I did not understand this point. We were not there to make his memory...We would be happy to build up a good friend-like relationship with a driver, but I believe we still need a boundary as a driver and clients.…

Amazing country, amazing guide.

Sri lanka is a beautiful country with equally beautiful people and food. The history, culture and natural wonders are extensive for such a small island. Because of this you need to be organised if you have limited time and want to see and do as much as you can. We did a lot of research ourselves and planned an itinerary, made accomodation bookings prior to formally engaging with Manjula at Lankaileisure. While everything went according to plan with no issues, we could have made better use of our time in some places or possibly had different accomodation had we consulted more with Manju. Booking and communicating with him using WhatsApp was easy and he always responds promptly. He wasn't our driver for our trip but he contacted us daily to see if everything was OK. We had a 3 week trip and used Lankaileisure for the first 11 days to go from Colombo to Dambulla, Kandy, Ella, Udawalawe and Mirrisa, where we had a week to relax by the beach before heading back to Negombo. Our driver, Kenneth, for those first 11 days (and also return trip from Mirrisa to Negombo) was absolutely fantastic. He was always punctual, well mannered, kind and informative.…

Great experience in a week long car rental in Sri Lanka

We hired a car with driver for 8 days from Lanka Leisure. The itinerary was from Colombo airport to Kandy (3 nights), Kandy to Ella (1 night), Ella to Weligama via Udawalawe (2 nights) and weligama to Colombo airport (1 night). The reservation was done and initial communication was with email. Once the confirmation was made, communication was made using WhatsApp. The driver picked us up from the airport with a sign board as agreed previously and dropped us off at the airport at the end of the trip. Payment was made at the end of the trip in USD. The driver’s meals and accommodation were included in the package. Tip is extra The way it worked for us was that we identified a few places to visit and the driver recommended a few places for us to consider. This was a great idea since we could pick activities based on our interests and availability of time. The driver was very friendly and helpful in accommodating our needs. I would recommend this rental company any time. A few tips to consider 1.If you’re planning to rent a car with driver, contact the company early so that they can help you with planning your itinerary. Highly recommend

I strongly recommend this service. Kenneth, our driver, was very professional, punctual, and an excellent driver. We were with him for four days. He drove us all the way to Neura Ellya and back. This road is quite winding and challenging but we completely felt safe in his car. Kenneth was very mindful of our comfort, stopping at great locations for a break or showing us a beautiful view. We will certainly use this service again next time we are in Sri Lanka.

Magnificent Manju!

Our 14 day tour with Manju in his Prius was just perfect. His knowledge and contacts with tour guides in each area allowed us to maximize our holiday experiences without being rushed or overwhelmed. His advice was priceless and his companionship was delightful, answering every tourist question we could throw at him or consulting Google if he needed assistance! Traveling with someone speaking Sinhalese allowed us to adjust our itinerary as needed due to weather or just change of plans & get the ‘local’ price on anything from new accommodation to meals & even shoe repairs. Wonderful trip to Sri Lanka 2024

Sept 2024 Manju was our driver for this one week exciting trip to Sri Lanka. He was recommended to me by a friend whom was his customer in 2019. Upon arrival at Colombo for pick up then he was with us for the whole week moving on to Nuwara Eliya, Horton Plains National Park. He went into the Horton Plains National Park with us which it was helpful and he walked with patience. He also brought us to the Pedro tea factory visit and we drove around little England. Afterwards we went to Yala and he helped booking a whole day Safari tour with a reliable and experienced Safari driver. They both tried their best to help us to spot out all the animals. We were extremely lucky with the day including seeing the leopard. As the last stop we went to Galle for one night then he dropped us off to airport. The trip was planned by me with research and I took his advice and solid local knowledge as input. Overall price is quite fair and the communication was smooth. He is a very nice person, good time management and attentive personality. He is good with taking pictures at the right moment.I would say we are lucky with the whole trip and with the weather.…

A perfect last minute trip

Since I did the booking only one week before arriving in Colombo, I didn’t really have time to prepare a lot beforehand. Luckly, Lanka i Leisure was very flexible, responsive and it was very easy to organize the driver simply through this platform and some whatsapp messages after. They were always keeping track if all was fine or if something needs to be changed throughout the journey which I think is a very good customer service. Also the payment via bank transfer was done after half of the trip, super easy via bank transfer (or cash). So at the end it all worked out perfectly, I enjoyed a really nice trip with my driver/guide Kenneth and wouldn‘t want to change a thing. He was driving considerate and I always felt safe, he was super friendly, knew answers to almost all of my questions and was also able to give a lot of information about the life in Sri Lanka, politics, history and religion. We had Chavi as our driver and guide for our 14 day tour of Sri Lanka. He arranged a first proposal of itinerary but then he was also flexible, adapting it to our preferences and needs. I highly recommend Manju, he was the best option we could have. Everything we wanted to see around sri lanka, we saw. Manju was always on time. He took us to dinner many times and it was absolutely wonderful. We became friends and had a lot of fun together. We couldn’t even open the car by ourselves because he said “ no, it’s my job to open the car” 😂. Every time we arrived to new accommodation he waited until everything is OK and we are settled, then he left. There’s nothing I can complain about because our holiday was absolutely perfect with Manju. He took care of everything we needed.

Great 16 days traveling with Manju - lanke i Leisure

Our family spent 16 days, July 2nd - 16th, in Sri Lanka traveling with a large van with Manju and his second driver. We drove a thousand kilometres across the country. Manju was a perfect guide and fulfilled all wishes and expectations we had. He knows his country very well, he has contacts with locals and can arrange everything and for a better price. His motto: "anything is possible" was confirmed during all days we were together. Whatever we asked for or needed any support or help, anything was possible:-), Manju pre-booked all tickets we wanted (safari, village tour with lunch, train tickets, ...), he organised a birthday cake with party balloons on the top of waterfalls and prepared much more nice surprises. That day we should go by a scenic train was a strike, Manju reorganised our itinerary so that finally we took another train ride one day later and helped with refund of the previous prepaid tickets. Elephant safari and transport

My driver for the day was Chavi. He picked me up at my hotel in Sigiriya and we did the elephant safari in the eco park. We also stopped for lunch at a buffet (Tropical hotel) in Dambula and he dropped me at my hotel in Negombo. The whole day was perfect. We saw at least 10 elephants.

Travelled through Sri Lanka for 7 days with Chavi! I wanted a more chill trip without a jam-packed schedule, and Chavi accommodated that perfectly. I'm sure he would cater to a packed schedule if that's what you prefer. I love trying out local food, and Chavi shared the hidden gems in every town and city we visited. He also found great deals on accommodations! He's fantastic—he shared so many stories about Sri Lanka, and I now have a much deeper appreciation for the culture, resilience, and people of this beautiful country. 10/10, highly recommend!

Sri Lanka adventure with Manjula (Lanka i Leisure)

I can confirm the positive feedback given to Manjula, he is more than your average "driver", he is knowledgeable, easy going and speaks good English, so we had a lot of chats along the way. He is punctual and genuinely care for his customers and his car is clean and comfortable and most importantly he drives safely. Booked him for 5 days for a quick sightseeing tour, halfway through my itinerary I changed plan, and he kindly accommodated me. Being adventurous I suggested using the scenic route instead of the well-trodden route from Kandy to Ella, he accommodated me too and the scenery was well worth it. With bag of toys, my favorite candies and excess stationaries, we randomly stop at remote villages along the road and gave them to kids along the way and even gate crashed a kindergarten. Seeing the smile on their faces was priceless. My adventure in Sri Lanka would be very different if the average driver turns out. Thank you, Manjula, you made my week in Sri Lanka memorable.

Great wildlife Tours

Incredible holiday in Sri Lanka with the best driver

We were a family of four traveling Sri Lanka for our first time. We were fortunate to have Manju for our 7-day trip. We had already planned our accommodation and route before we made contact with Manju, but he was incredibly helpful knowledgable at suggesting stopping points and activities along the way. He found the right balance of suggesting activities we might be interested in while also noticing when we were struggling with the heat. He was a very safe driver and very punctual and reliable. He even went above and beyond to find us tickets for the train as we had forgotten to pre-book them 30 days in advance and they were pretty much sold out. I would highly recommend Manju if you're visiting Sri Lanka. He made what would have been a good trip into an exceptional trip.

An amazing week in Sri Lanka

Ranjan was extremely helpful, prompt and thoughtful during our visit to Sri Lanka. It was so nice to be able to rest while he drove us across the country. His vehicle was spacious and clean with plenty of room for our luggage. We visited Yala national park, Ella, Weligama, and Colombo. He speaks several languages, including English and Sinhalese fluently, which helped us problem solve and communicate with others throughout the week. He stayed nearby at each city that we visited and was easily accessible if we had a change of plans. He also walked with us and gave us the inside scoop on a few touristy spots and gave us plenty of privacy at the same time. We enjoyed getting to know him and learned a lot about the country from him. Driving in Sri Lanka would have been pretty unsafe and confusing if we had tried to do it on our own. We highly recommend him for your trip!

Sri Lanka Marvels

We had a wonderful time spending 12 nights in Sri Lanka. Kenneth was an excellent driver who we felt 100% safe with all the time. This is saying something considering the way a lot of people drove in Sri Lanka. Kenneth’s knowledge of the areas we went to was very good and he even managed to get us excellent seats at the Kandy dancers as well as knowing shortcuts to get quicker entrance to a lot of activities and sites. We had booked our own hotels and when one wasn’t up to standard Kenneth knew of an alternative (Tip Top Hotel in Elle) which was fantastic and excellent value for money as well. Kenneth was a lovely family man who couldn’t do enough for us whilst allowing us our own time without interruption when appropriate.

10 day tour of Sri Lanka,✌️with Neel a very reliable driver

We spent 10 days in Sri Lanka with Neel, our driver. We had announced our travel wishes in advance and booked our hotels ourselves on this basis. Neel picked us up from the hotel on time every morning of our tour. During our ten-day tour he took us safely and reliably to the sights and activities we wanted to see and sometimes even accompanied us. He also pointed out one or two attractions that we hadn't actually planned. That was very helpful. Neel drove us in a clean and well-maintained mid-range car. We also had enough space in the car for us and our luggage. Neel was very careful and foresighted but also discreet. He was always there when we needed him. We would be happy to recommend Neel and his company. They were partly responsible for our vacation going so well so far.

The best guide în Sri Lanka

Together with my wife I spent 14 days in Sri Lanka, with Manju as my guide. A special man, very honest, punctual, with the goal of making his guests feel special. I communicated very well with Manju on whatsapp, with approx. 3 months before departure we agreed on all the accommodations and then he took care of all the reservations, everything went smoothly until the end. From the first day a friendship was forged between us that will continue for a long time from now on. Every morning he was on time, the car was clean every time, water was paid for, free wifi. The fact that he picks you up from the first day (I landed at 3 am) and leaves you at the airport on the last day (departure at 4 am) is a plus of safety and kindness. Excellent ecperience

We spent 14 days in Sri Lanka and had Sam as our private driver for 7 days. We would like to thank him for the wonderful week we spent together. Sam was very flexible and caring. He was always punctual or even arrived before the agreed time. We felt very safe all these days because he drove very professionally and safely. Comparing the driving with the other drivers we hired for occasional driving in the second part of our trip, Sam was definitely the best and safest driver. In addition, the car was cleaned every day and in excellent condition, despite the large amount of rain and mud on the way. He speaks excellent English and was not only our driver but also our tour guide and photographer. He told us a lot about the history and life in his country. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience. It was simply excellent! We highly recommend him to anyone going to Sri Lanka.

We spent 10 days in Sri Lanka and 6 days we had Ranjan as our personal driver. We would like to express big gratutude to Ranjan for those 6 days when he made us feel super comfortable. He was very flexible and caring. As for his time management, he was always on time or even earlier which we really appreciated. He is very reliable. We felt very safe all those days. He drives very proffessionally and the ride was always smooth (we can compare with other drivers we experienced in last days of out trip when we didnt have Ranjan and he is definitely the best!) Moreover he is very neat, and the car was cleaned and in perfect condition every day although the rain and sand. He communicates in great English and is open for discussion when we wanted and also gave us advice or helped arrange some stuff when we asked him. Overall, we couldnt have wished for a better experience. It was simply amazing and the best! We will suggest him to everyone who goes to Sri Lanka.

Quick winter getaway before Christmas without the kids. Island tour.

Splendid holiday

My daughter and I had wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka in March - April 2023. There are lots of things to remember, but the highlight was seeing elephants in natural habitat. We saw single elephants and families with babies happily and peacefully walking, eating grass not disturbed by tourists at all. It was amazing to see their developed social behaviour in the wild with minimal presence of humans. Thank you, Manju for understanding our interests and organising something that we would enjoy. We would like to pay another visit to Sri Lanka and hoping to see Jaffna next time.

We spent 10 days in Sri Lanka, visiting Galle, Mirissa, Ella, Kandy, Sygiria, Nilaveli, Anuradhapura. 8 Fantastic Days with Manju!

Recently, we went on an incredible trip to Sri Lanka that was shepherded by the wonderful Manju. He was great leading up to the trip and helped out with our itinerary. He picked us up from the airport at 2am and drove us 3 hours to Sigiriya - talk about the early bird getting the worm! Once we got to our hotel in Sigiriya, he even spoke with the manager to make sure that we got into our room quickly. During all of our stops (Kandy, Ella, Colombo) he recommended all the best hikes, things to do, and tour guides and told us what restaurants to eat at and which ones he didn't like. Also, he is an excellent driver and handled the car safely and confidently in difficult terrain (trust us the roads can get rough). He took many wonderful candid photos of us and was always quick to share interesting facts about the country and wildlife, which we loved! Brilliant tour around Sri Lanka

On the first day of the tour Manju took us to Colombo. First impression was very good, he arrived on time, the car was clean and comfortable. Manju was very friendly, calm and easy going. He took us everywhere we needed to go and made sure we had a pleasant day. The next part of the tour was to Hill Country. The car was prepared perfectly with wi-fi on board , cool water and snacks for us to enjoy. Manju’s English is very good and making conversation was easy. He informed us of the areas we were driving through and answered any question we had. During our stay in Hill Country, Manju organised a wonderful day out including a boat ride, lunch in a local village and unforgettable elephant safari. Magic with Manju

There are so many drivers it's difficult to choose but Manju stands out from the rest. Always calm, always careful Manju always made us feel safe amongst the chaos that can sometimes be a Sri Lankan road. The vehicle was immaculate, equipped with water and snacks and the WiFi gave us the chance to share our experience. While we had a rough idea of what we wanted to see Manju was receptive to our ideas but made it all work. He also took us to some places we didn't know about, so we got the best of both worlds. He would often walk with us and where guides weren't available, he would step up and explain to us what we were visiting. Sri Lanka is such a beautiful and amazing place don't hesitate to book. The beaches, the mountains, the tea plantations, the temples, the jungle and the scenery will take your breath away and the national park safaris provide endless hours of animal watching. The food was outstanding and Manju introduced us to some local delicacies we hadn't experienced before. Amazing Sri Lanka round trip with Manju

We did a 10 day Sri Lanka round trip in January 2023 with Manju, and it was absolutely perfect! He picked us up from our Hotel in Bentota and in the following days we went together to Dambulla/Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, the Yala national park, and he droped us finally in Mirissa. Manju is an excellent driver and his car is very comfortable. Usually in our holiday we used to drive by our own, but with Manju you don't need to worry about organising your trip and you can enjoy Sri Lanka in a comfortable, local and individual way! Since I am pregnant he planed the right amount of time. He was always very polite and patient, and even helped me hiking up hills, what I appreciated a lot ;)! Whenever we wanted to change plans - e.g. doing the Horton plains additionally - it was no big deal to adapt flexibly to our wishes. For my boyfriends birthday he even arranged a surprising dinner with a birthday cake and song from the staff :D! As he knew that my boyfriend was very interested in Sri Lankan food, Manju kept it always in mind. E.g. concerning our cookery class in Ella with Iranga - which we highly recommend as it was fabulous!…

Lanka i Leisure – Amazing 5-days Tour with Manju!

Our visit to Sri Lanka was really great and unforgettable. It was our first time when we decided to hire someone to assist us with our journey. Our driver Manju was an excellent driver and guide. He was listening to all our needs, adjusting the whole plan appropriately. We spend 5 days together starting from Induruwa (we stayed there for few days just for rest) via Hikkaduwa to see turtles (as we wanted) Galle, Mirissa (beautiful beach with great lunch suggested by Manju – local delicious food, wonderful views, reasonable prices) and Weerawila (as we had a booking there). Then considering our location we had a great safari trip. Next point of our trip was Ella with fantastic waterfalls. There Manju arranged for us short trekking to waterfalls when we had an unforgettable opportunity to swim in its swimming pools with fantastic views and very nice lunch on the rocks (delicious food on banana leaves which we could eat just over the pools) – this day was very special because we never experienced that kind of attractions. We also had an opportunity to see a very popular Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak. Then another day we planned to move to Nuvera Elija.…

Amazing Tour of Sri Lanka

My husband and I did a 14 day tour with Manju. Our itinerary included Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala, Tangalle, Mirissa, Bentota. We started off the tour as clients and we ended the tour as great friends. Manju’s English Is good and we didn’t have any problems understanding him or making ourselves understood. Also, I booked this tour in the early spring, but we didn’t arrive in Sri Lanka until December. Communication with Manju through WhatsApp was easy and we were able to plan the itinerary via WhatsApp. Manju also recommended hotels and booked some of these hotels for us. Manju was also flexible with any changes we wanted to make to the itinerary. He also used his knowledge of the country to recommend a variety of activities for us to do such as boat rides, a cooking class and hikes. Excellent four-day tour with Manju

Manju picked us up in Colombo and over the next four days we drove to Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and back to Negombo for our flight. First of all Manju is a confidence inspiring driver, so we could relax and enjoy the scenery. He was able to recommend good hotels for us as well. He had lots of good information and was able to arrange a guide for us in Anuradhapura. Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya are easy to visit without a guide. Along the way we stopped for coconut water and he found us great coffee stops. Manju is very personable, relaxed and flexible. He was good company all the way. Manju made our Sri Lanka trip amazing!

We had the best time in Sri Lanka and Manju was able to accommodate us to be our driver after very short notice on our part! We can’t believe how lucky we were to find Manju as he really made our trip what it was… amazing! We gave a brief outline of the places we wanted to visit and Manju did the rest. Without his knowledge we would never have found some of the places we visited, not just temples/waterfalls/treks but the best food places and hotel recommendations that have only come through Manju’s experience as an excellent driver and tour guide. We felt looked after and safe, as he made sure we were happy throughout and were doing what we wanted to do. Excellent day trip to Galle from Kalutara

Manju collected us from Kalutra at 8am and we had a very enjoyable and full day trip concluding at 8pm. His communication is excellent and his driving is safe (the roads are busy and chaotic).initially we went to koggala and then on to Galle where we spent a couple of hours. Afterwards we returned via the coastal road to Hikkaduwa,bentota river safari and a turtle sanctuary too. I would strongly recommend his option of a real curry dinner served in a modern outdoor kitchen next to a vast lake. The Tsunami memorial and attached museum was both respectful, impressive and thought provoking. This is located on the coastal road and wS suggested to us by Manju.Heis very helpful , makes suggestions to enhance the experience and was a good companion for the day. If visiting this beautiful country I would recommend contacting Manju.Just wished we had longer and would have visited Sinaraja Rai Forest.

A wonderful days experience!

A wonderful day trip, not to be missed while in Sri Lanka ! My niece & I where thoroughly impressed with Manuj our driver & guide. Sri Lanka day tour

Me and my aunt had a wonderful experience with our driver Manju. He went to great efforts and with an excellent level of service to give us a day tour of the south west part of Sri Lanka. Starting at Galle he took us to see the Fort and then onto Hikkaduwa for a boat trip out to the coral reefs. Then we went onto to lunch to have real rice and curry at a traditional Sri Lankan cooking demonstration. From there we went onto Bentota for a boat ride through the mangroves, with our boat guide showing excellent knowledge of the river seeking out all the rivers nature in particular to the fruit bat's, eagles, crocodiles and snakes. We then continued our trip to see the turtle sanctuary and all though its just a short visit our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the work they do in helping the turtles. All in all it was a great day and we enjoyed all the activities we did. Its always tricky travelling to a new land with a young family and not knowing who you can trust to deliver great service and experiences. Manju delivered everything and more for my family and I. In April we visited Sri Lanka. Manjula was our driver/tour gide for 2 weeks. We really enjoyed our tour with him. He speaks English very wel and knows al the lovely spots. I can’t recommend highly enough. Manjula was a fantastic driver and guide. His English is perfect. Very easy to understand. We traveled from Negombo to Kandy, Nuwara eliya to Ella, Udawalawe to Galle. Ending in Bentota. Manjula took us to where we wanted to go, adding some beautiful places to compliment the journey. He never took us to any tourist traps. Even warning us about scams we were unaware of. We always felt very safe in the car. We trusted Manjula with our 4 year old boy. Amazing trip, book with Manju now

Manju accompanied my friend and I on a wonderful eight day trip through the paradise country of Sri Lanka (Colombo > Dambulla > Sigirya > Kandy > Nuwara Eliyah > train to Ella > Adams Peak > Mirissa > Unawatuna > Galle > Bentota). As two young felmale travelers, he was everything we could have hoped for. We were in Sri Lanka during a sad and difficult time, but Manju was calm, supportive, protective and still incredibly accommodating and determined to make our holidays as great as possible. He even gave us a Sri Lanka flag on the day of our departure. Above all, he was a safe driver. His car (Toyota Prius) was in great shape, with air conditioning and Bluetooth capability so we could blast some of our favorite tunes on our long drives. Sri Lanka was our first stop on our Asia trip. We never been here before and decided to spend a week, 9th to 16th of Mars 2019, which of course was too little. We decided not to rent a car by our own (even if my work mate from India said that the way to do it) and we started to look for driver. We found Lanka i Leisure and Manjula that had exceptional good reviews (so we figured that either he wrote them himself or that’s the driver we want to go with). After a week with Manju we can just conclude that all good stuff written make sense. He is an excellent driver, smoothly flow with the traffic, you never feel afraid, the car is comfortable (perfect for two but I guess works fine for three). He has a very good knowledge of all Sri Lanka, not just the touristic stuff but also all the other strange things we asked about. Last but not least, his flexibility and ability to always find a good solution on whatever you ask for is astounding. We didn’t have time for a Safari but Manju managed to drive into an elephant that stopped the traffic on the high-way (see wild elephant, check). We found Manju be kind and genuine by heart and 100% honest.…

Unforgettable days with Manjula....

Amazing trip, all down to Manju!

We booked Manju as our driver a few months before arriving in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, on the day of our flight he had a family emergency that he had to deal with which meant he could no longer drive us. Luckily he sorted everything out for us with his colleague Chanaka who ended up being our driver for 9 days all around Sri Lanka. Chanaka was friendly and spoke English. He always had suggestions of places we could go on route to our destination to break up the journeys. He was always smiling and made our whole experience in Sri Lanka feel safe and easy. Manju was also vital in the planning of our trip, he booked all our tickets for us before we arrived such as the famous Kandy to Ella train journey and an amazing safari trip in Udawalawe. I have had a roundtrip in Sri Lanka for 14 days with my daughter (23) and son (17). Manjula Fernando had arranged everything for us. From the airport when we arrived untill the day we left Sri Lanka again. All the hotels, B&B, all the attractions/sights he had taken care of everything and it was excellent! To travel with Manjula in Sri Lanka is a very good choice! He is a real professional! He is nice, punctual, neat, polite, he has a lot of knowledge from his country, he has a clean and beautiful car and last but not least he is a very good driver! He is a great person: we are friends forever!

Visiting Sri Lanka

We are a group of five friends and we planned our two weeks visit to Sri Lanka from Italy. We decided our itinerary and proposed to Manjula to arrange the transportation. The driver picked us up at airport at our arrival and drived us all the way through the country. Professional, efficient and friendly. Manjula called us daily to follow up and be sure everything was going well. Never pushing, always flexible and helpful. We decided some changes in the way and everything was handled smoothly. For us it was the best choice, we recommended to other friends that also were satisfied same as us. A good way to visit this beautiful country.

My girlfriend and I booked Manjula to drive us from Habaraduwa to the airport at Colombo, via Galle. Manjula was prompt and professional, providing water in the car. Upon reaching Galle, he kindly parked conveniently near the fortress and then went on to provide insights about it and the surrounding sights. He helpfully took photos of us together for us to avoid the rubbish selfies! We reached the airport with plenty of time to spare. I would recommend Manjula for short trips and I’m sure his longer tours are just as good!

Great Holiday, Beautiful Country, Fantastic Guide

My wife and I had met some friends in Sri Lanka and had another 10 days to travel on our own after they left, and we wanted to see more of the country. We employed the services of Manj from Lanka i Leisure to help us get around to the places we wanted to see. However we got much more than just a driver, we got a very knowledgeable Sri Lanka local who assisted us to make the best of our time remaining. At every location he knew where to go and who we needed to speak with. Literally nothing was too much trouble. On top of all this, he is a great guy who is happy to have a laugh and makes a great travel buddy on your trip. I would highly recommend you to use a guide when travelling through out SriLanka, and if you do then team up with Manj. You will not be disappointed. My wife and I would now consider him a friend .
