16 day tour of Sri Lanka with Imran

The best driver guide if you're travelling in Sri Lanka
I was treated as my own guide driver for five days. As it turns out, this was the biggest reason why my trip to Sri Lanka was so comfortable and safe. I didn't feel any anxiety on long-distance trips or mountain roads. I was very impressed not only by the sightseeing spots, but also by the constant attention to our physical condition and pace, and by the reasonable schedule they suggested. They also told us about the shops and spots used by locals as well as tourists, and we were able to get to know Sri Lanka more deeply. They answered this request resourcefully and were very kind to me with the reservation of massage and restaurant, and many wonderful memories remained as a family trip. I was also moved by the worry that they would even send me a message after returning to Japan to see if I had arrived safely. He is a reliable and wonderful guide driver. Guided private tour of Sri Lanka
Our overall tour was arranged through Insights 2 India with 2 weeks in India and 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. We were met at Colombo Airport by Imran and taken to our overnight hotel, Vivanta Colombo. The tour started formally next morning with a drive to Habarana. Ultimately we visited Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala and Bentota before departing fom Colombo. Roads were in good shape and less crowded than India, and that was a relief. Imran's vehicle was a mid sized Toyota station wagon. It was neat and tidy with plenty of room for our luggage. Imran's driving was very good and he certainly knew the dimensions of the vehicle. We managed to move safely on both county and city roads without any issues. Where necessary Imran arranged local guides with specialist knowledge to guide us. Otherwise his own local knowledge was brilliant. Imran was also able to get us into and see the Galle cricket ground and also the Singahalese Sport Club to see where test cricket is played. We would highly recommend Imran if visiting Sri Lanka.

Relaxed informative tour
Myself and another solo traveller chose with our travel company to visit Colombo for the day . Imran was at our hotel ready to collect us to take us out for the day . As mentioned in other reviews he has a comfortable clean car . He is knowledgeable and easy to get along with as several questions were put to him . We saw several sights including temples , we even asked to visit a supermarket he was with us at all times to help if needed . We enjoyed out City tour and have enquired about other days out too !
About Our Experience
I made this journey with my sister. Imran was not only our personal driver and guide for 7 full days, but also our friend. We had the best travel experience of our lifes. We travelled over 900 kms in total. He advised where to go, went everywhere with us, arranged everything with the locals and we were there just to enjoy our trip. Also he showed us some local food places which were nothing like those in the tourist area. The car was comfortable and always very clean both inside and outside. I wish everyone to experience having a personal guide/friend like Imran. He has always supported us from shopping to everything. We received an excellent service and would not hesitate to recommend Imran to others.

I had a great experience with Island Culture Travels and Tours. Over 9 days I travelled around Sri Lanka with Imran, my driver and guide. He was very warm and welcoming and was exceptional company throughout the journey. We planned to hire a driver for the first day of our tour only as we had a tight schedule for that day. During that day, we decided to stay with Mihiran for the next two days as well as we really enjoyed and appreciated his service! Mihiran is not only a very good driver along the streets of Sri Lanka (which aren’t always easy). He knows a lot about secret places, things to do &see as well as about culture, flora and fauna. Mihiran helped us schedule the next two days to get the most out of it and provided recommendation for the remainder of our 12 day journey. During the trip, we became friends and had some really enjoyable talks. He is a very honest person and looks out for your interests, making sure you are being treated fairly and are getting the best deals from people. We traveled to Sri Lanka at the end of February. We used the services of a licensed guide, Imran, who took us every day to very interesting places. He also invited us to his family home and treated us to a real home-made Sri Lankan dinner. Imran is punctual, cheerful, helpful and very nice. His car was always clean. Full professionalism. I recommend.

We planned to hire a driver for the first day of our tour only as we had a tight schedule for that day. During that day, we decided to stay with Mihiran for the next two days as well as we really enjoyed and appreciated his service! Mihiran is not only a very good driver along the streets of Sri Lanka (which aren’t always easy). He knows a lot about secret places, things to do &see as well as about culture, flora and fauna. Mihiran helped us schedule the next two days to get the most out of it and provided recommendation for the remainder of our 12 day journey. During the trip, we became friends and had some really enjoyable talks. We were really happy with Mihiran as a driver and guide and can only recommend it to start the trip through Sri Lanka with him, especially when time is short.
