Highly recommended for good reason

So I wanted to go with Rohan after brilliant reviews and personal recommendations. Unfortunately he was booked at the time we were arriving - however he went above and beyond to help me secure another brilliant driver, continued to give me tips, accomodation recommendations and itinerary advice for our trip, checked in on our arrival and made sure our trip ran smoothly despite being busy on another tour. This sort of service is no doubt one the the many reasons he was highly recommended in the first place! You won’t be dissapointed!

If you're visiting Sri Lanka, stop searching and book Rohan. He made our entire trip from the ancient cave temples at Dambulla to a thrilling safari and the breathtaking hill country around Ella — completely stress-free and genuinely memorable. Rohan is punctual, safe behind the wheel, and knows the roads like the back of his hand. But what really sets him apart is his warmth and local knowledge. He gave us tips on the best spots to stop, helped us get the most out of each location, and always made sure we were comfortable. No rushing, no pressure — just genuine care for making our experience special. What really touched us was how wonderful he was with our daughter. She absolutely loved him, and watching her light up around him made the trip even more special. Rohan has a natural way with people of all ages, and it's clear he genuinely enjoys sharing his beautiful country with the families he looks after. Whether it was navigating winding mountain roads up to Ella or timing our safari visit perfectly, Rohan handled everything with a smile. Our whole family had a wonderful time, and so much of that is down to him. Highly, highly recommend. Five stars isn't enough!

Superb overall service.

We found ourselves stranded in a small town in Sri Lanka. Rohan picked us up spontaneously and drove us to Ella. Super friendly, clean car. Really great service at a fair price. I can absolutely recommend it.

Great experience with a great guide

We spent 13 days with Rohan. Our arrival at the airport was very early 2am and Rohan was waiting for us to do 3 hours drive. Through these 13 days we have been able to visit the heritage, places of worship, animals, hiking .. finally everything that makes the splendor of this beautiful country. Reliable, knowledgeable and a great driver

I came across Rohan on Facebook and liaised directly with him. His English is good and he is very reliable. He deserves his 5 stars! He picked us up from Negombo and helped us create an itinerary around the cultural triangle. We booked our hotels and he was happy to fit in with that. From the very first moment we met Rohan, we knew that our family holiday was going to be a special however, what we or at least i could not have imagined was just how deeply he would impact our experiance. Rohan started the journey with us, a guide but finished it as a life long friend. A kinder, more honest man you will never meet. He added to every single experiance, whether that be helping our children, sharing his experiances and stories or going out of his way to always make sure we were comfortable. Well english speaking, kind and full of knowledge of the city

Rohan is a well speaking english guide who knows really a lot of the city. He takes the time to show you everything. He even got us in the older part for a quick look without paying. We got a great picture of the history of the time. Rohan is easy going, has a nice AC car and it was only 7000 lkr for 5 people for half a day. We recommend him for sure!

Great trip

Rohan drove us around the beautiful Sri Lanka for 3 weeks. He is a very safe driver and a very friendly and helpful person. He arranged everything for us, the safaris, the daily schedules (when to be there), went with us for street food and to a dance performance. Fantastic guide / driver - made our trip memorable.

We had an incredible 2weeks in Sri Lanka. Rohan, who with us all the time, made the trip even better. He is a very safe driver and incredibly helpful. Nothing is too difficult or too far for him. This was the first time of hiring a driver during the vacation for me and my husband, and initially, I had some concerns. Since this trip was a personal and intimate experience between us, I worried about having someone with us at all times. However, those concerns quickly disappeared when we met Rohan. From the very beginning, he made us feel completely at ease, gave us a lot of private time, yet would be there whenever we needed him. Rohan’s driving is impeccable. He drives with great care, always ensuring our safety on the road and expertly navigating any challenges along the way. We always felt secure and well looked after with him behind the wheel. Friendly, helpful , reliable.

We have Rohan driving us from Wilpattu to Trincomalee. He is friendly, reliable and let us know we can stop for toilet or other spots if needed! He knows the surrounding community and also explained a few places that we pass by . After we get off and ready to check in , we realise we went to the wrong hotel (we also told the wrong address to Rohan) but Rohan is so nice he came back and drove us to the correct hotel! Highly recommended!

The best journey in Sri Lanka with Rohan!

My boyfriend and I were really happy with the service of Rohan for 10 days during our trip to Sri Lanka. He is a really trustworthy driver/guide, we had nice conversations with him, but he also sensed when we were tired. He shared his tips for local experiences and restaurants, and at the same time didn’t push us to go to places. We really recommend to travel with him, we felt very welcome, happy and safe in Sri Lanka with him!

Friendly, engaging, excellent driver!

We found Rohan on a Google search, and we're so glad we did! He was a great, careful driver whose company we enjoyed on a long drive from Anuradhapura to the Southwest Coast. His car proved to be the most comfortable we'd ridden in, and we made great time without ever feeling like he was driving too fast or recklessly. Highly recommend him for tours in or out of Anuradhapura.

Highly recommended transport service

Rohan has a clean car with good air conditioning and seatbelts. He has a nice manner and his driving was excellent. We felt safe during our two 1 hour journeys. He also went out of his way to take us to another destination which wasn’t pre-arranged - this was most appreciated. Highly recommend Rohan and his taxi business to anyone visiting this area.

We had Rohan as our driver during the beginning of our trip, and it could not have been a better start to our adventure in Sri Lanka! Amazing trip in Sri Lanka with Rohan, highly recommended!

Rohan was our driver for two days in December 2021, and if we had a different itinerary we would definitely have used him for more! Throughout our time, Rohan was an excellent driver, always getting us to our destination promptly and safely, in a comfortable, spacious and air conditioned car. He was very helpful in giving tips on where to go for lunch, or stopping by for a tasty king coconut on the road. In our time at Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, he also doubled as a great guide, showing us around the ancient cities, and taking us to all the cultural and historical sites that felt the most important and enjoyable to go to. Great communicator

I never had the pleasure of meeting Rohan in person, because he fell sick the day before he was to drive us. However, he made all the arrangements for a substitute driver, which we greatly appreciated. I had great, prompt communication with Rohan for a number of months before our Sri Lanka visit. He was always willing to answer my questions and even helped me secure those elusive Kandy-Ella train tickets for 4 people. I would not hesitate to recommend Rohan to other travellers and would be happy to use him for my next Sri Lanka visit.

AMAZING TIME IN SRI LANKA

We had our best time in Sri Lanka thanks to Rohan. I was travelling with 2 friends, (we were french but 2 of us are living in Dubai) and we had an excellent trip in Sri Lanka thanks to Rohan. We visited 5 different places in 10 days (Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Uda Walawe and Unawatuna). Rihan was always available, flexible and with a positive attitude. Professional and Knowledgeable driver

We are a group of 3 pax and have hired him for 2 days after reading reviews from trip advisor. We drove from the airport to Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa and finally drop off in sigiriya. He is very knowledgeable and gave us information and history on the places we are visiting. He drove very carefully throughout the journey and his price was very reasonable.

The best driver/ guide and friend now

We booked Rohan for 16 days to travel around Sri Lanka. Before our trip, I could WhatsApp or email him with my questions and he gave me enough info and tips to create my itenary. When we arrived at airport, we got a warm welcome, with flowers and he had water for us in the car, which was thoughtful. We received the best service during these 16 days. While driving he explained a lot about Sri Lanka, the country, the culture, the buddhism,... we learned a lot (he can speak good English). Apart from that, we laughed a lot too when he or we were telling a joke. He also knew what our interests were and took this into account. For example leaving a bit later from the hotel so that we could enjoy the pool or beach. The departure time of every day was always in consideration with us (leaving early to get early in the next place or leaving later to enjoy that place a little bit more, we could chose). When we were hungry during the driveways, he looked for nice places for lunch. He knows the safari places (national parks) well and advises you if it is better to have an afternoon safari or morning safari (depending of the park). He knows guides so he can book a jeep and guide for the safari.…

Professional and excellent value for money

I hired Rohan to drive me around the sites in Anuradhapura for a day. He was very professional, polite and friendly. He has a very comfortable and reliable car. There were some nice touches that drivers don’t always think of - guide books and an umbrella in the car and he played some audio histories of the area through the stereo system. I would definitely hire Rohan again if I am in the area.

Rohan made our first Sri Lanka trip amazing!!

From the moment we came out if arrivals at the airport and Rohan was waiting for us everything went perfectly. His car was spotlessly clean , lovely air conditioned, a bottle of water waiting for us, had dvd players in the seats which made travelling around so much easier with my 6 year old. Rohan was very knowledgeable and would point out places of interest. His English is very good. I'd arranged an itinery beforehand so each day we would agree a time for Rohan to pick us up and he was always on time, prompt and reliable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, especially the first day when I'd fallen asleep and dropped my phone in the car and got out without it. Rohan drove straight back, whereas if we had just got cabs from place to place with different drivers and no contact details it may have been a different story. it was just myself and my young son travelling so was a bit apprehensive travelling at first but we basically got a driver, a tour guide and someone we could 100% trust. We were very sad to leave at the end of the two weeks as we felt we were saying goodbye to a friend. Thanks again Rohan for making our holiday so much better.

Fantastic driver!

We found Rohan on Trip Advisor after our hotel quoted us an insane price just to get into town. Reaching out to him was one of the best decisions we made in Sri Lanka! He drove us to/from dinner that evening and to Negombo a couple days later. His prices are quite reasonable (he actually asked us what we wanted to pay him!), his car is spotlessly clean with Uber-like amenities, and he is extremely punctual, professional and polite. His driving is also very good. We would definitely call Rohan again.

We travelled from Colombo to Trinco ( which is from East to West across the island) with Rohan. He answers emails promptly and informatively. Just as he said, he was there to meet us with a board at Colombo airport. It was a long 5+ hours journey finishing in the dark. Excellent driving skills, very well-mannered, good service

We travelled with Mr. Rohan from Kandy to Colombo with our seven year old daughter on the 26th of December. I would recommend him to anyone travelling with a family or otherwise. Very good driving, Rohan reported at 9:25 at the hotel in Kandy before time.(five mins before scheduled time) We had a very smooth trip with him to Kandy. Besides, he charged us the minimum rates for travelling to Colombo.

I’d like to thank Rohan for driving us over the last few days. His car was very comfortable, his knowledge of the areas we visited informative and helpful, he took us to good eating places and pretty much made our trip incredible. Driving in Sri Lanka is no mean feat and he was safe and smart but also very aware of when we wanted to take photos and would either slow down or stop if we wanted. Rohan is the type of guide that is always helpful. We lost a suitcase during the flight, and Rohan helped us out getting it back. Rohan knows good places to eat, have a look around or a hotel and is always open for suggestions. I think people like Rohan are very special, and during our 9 day trip with him, we became friends. We contact Rohan at Anuradapura to help us in our travelling trip. Even he was not available for all the day we wanted, he help us to find another taxi and he give us some very good advise. In addition, He got a really good car and drive carfully.

smiling, on time, efficient and attentive

Rohan picked us up at the airport and took us to the other side of the island. Though the local driving conditions were really ... spectacular, I felt so safe that I was even able to sleep most of the time we spent together. The car is comfortable, and pretty well equipped.

This driver brought us to the airport and it was a nice drive. We would stop at a Hindu temple, but the driver stopped at another one. That one was not as nice. Rest was really good.

He planned the trip based on our needs and was great at reading in to when we needed a rest without us needing to say. His car is fantastically luxurious and he made sure to have fresh bottled water waiting for us each morning as well as screens in the back with videos about Sri Lanka (and he said there are cartoons for kids if needed). His motto is that our happiness is his happiness, which is an accurate representation of what you get. We came for our honeymoon but would highly recommend for any trip or traveller including families with children. We met him as a driver but now see him as a good friend who we will be sure to remain in contact with.

This is the best decision i made taking Mr Rohan as my tour guide. He is such an humble and helpful person. Help me alot wit everything i face trouble, even he save me alot of money too. Just tell him which r the places ur interested to visit if u hav any specific places to visit and he will take care of everything else. He is reasonable guy so i feel comfortable wit him.he is good in English too so its a plus. I would totally recommend him as ur tour guide n am sure u will not ne disappointed. Sri Lanka Driver

Rohan was an amazing driver. He took us all around Sri Lanka in 7 days. He was always on time in the mornings and easy to communicate any change of plans. He was also able to give us some pointers on things we should see along the way. Would definitely recommend you use him.
