Amazing family trip

Priyantha (owner of Tour Buddy) was our driver for 3 weeks in August, in which time we covered a lot of ground. We were a family of 4 including 2 teens. From the moment he picked us up in Negombo he was helpful, considerate, and really helped us to get the most out of our trip. His English is very good which made communication easy. He was always on time, flexible with changes to plans, made suggestions and was also open to our suggestions – we’re used to travelling independently and tend to do self-drive. His driving skills are superb – calm, considerate to others and able to navigate all types of roads 😊 We travelled in his mini van, which was exactly as shown in the photos he’d shared, and had plenty of space for us and our luggage. He takes real pride in his vehicle and it was always clean and well maintained – the inside was cleaned every day and spotless. In addition he always had an umbrella or sarong on hand if needed. Priyantha enjoys wildlife and nature and would often point out both birds and animals that he was able to spot whilst driving, and that otherwise we’d probably have missed.…

Gayan is fantastic!

My husband and I had a fantastic time on our trip to the South of Sri Lanka. Gayan drove us to some brilliant locations throughout the week, some asked for by us but many recommended by him (his recommendations were better than our initial planned trip!) Gayan is a very safe and professional driver. He is great company and gave us so many great facts throughout our journey in Sri Lanka. You can tell that he is incredibly experienced and he put our minds at ease throughout, making our trip as easy as it could ever be. Could not recommended him more - he made our trip!

Great knowledge, good driver and great companion!

Whilst we had already planned our itinerary, Priyantha had lots of good suggestions so we made some good changes along the way. Priyantha is a good, safe driver and very knowledgeable. And a fun guy and a very good wildlife spotter 👍 . Going around the island with him really gave us a great experience, I would certainly recommend him.

Wonderful experience from start to finish

We had an incredible time touring Sri Lanka and I’m so grateful to Tour Buddy for helping our plans become the perfect reality on our trip! Round trip around Sri Lanka

We contacted Tour Buddy to arrange a car with a driver for a round trip around Sri Lanka. We had an outstanding experience with our driver, Mr. Gayan, and couldn't have asked for a better person to accompany us throughout our trip. Safety was clearly his top priority. Beyond 5 stars

We traveled to Sri Lanka as a family of six, and I can honestly say it was the best trip of our lives—largely thanks to our driver, Priyantha. Before we even arrived, I researched thouroughly and spoke to many different drivers, but he stood out immediately, other than meeting all credentials, his responses were always consistent, responsible, respectful, and honest at every turn. He helped us with all the initial planning, providing the correct information and support before we even set foot in the country. Throughout the trip, he was remarkably responsible and always perfectly on time. He is a very good driver, but he was so much more than that to us; he was amazing for our whole family. Our teenagers and our 11-year-old absolutely adored him. Even now, being back home, our 2 year old baby keeps asking for him. He was brilliant at navigating and helped us immensely with translations and any needs we had along the way. Five stars truly does not meet the rating we would give him as a family. Another great trip with Priyantha

Another great holiday with Priyantha from tour buddy,this is our third time touring around Sri Lanka with him,this time we did the beach resorts..June being the off-season the hotel prices were all discounted ,Priyantha recommended some great hotel to us,the Fortress hotel near Galle being outstanding. Priyantha was always on time and had a clean van,he organized safari tours in Yala for us with good pricing…the safari trip was a highlight.

Wonderful 12 days driving all around Sri Lanka completely worry free

We were a group of 4 with a 12-day itinerary that took us to almost all corners of Sri Lanka. We initially planned to book a different driver or taxi to get from one city to the next but were recommended Priyantha/Tourbuddy by a friend and we couldn’t be happier having had him with us throughout the entire trip. As we had already made our own itinerary and booked accommodations, we didn’t really need his bespoke tour services but once we shared our plans for the vehicle quotation, he gave very useful suggestions and insights on travel times and conditions that we couldn’t have possibly researched on our own. He helped us modify accordingly and volunteered to help us with bookings for activities we had specified — from safaris to train rides. The pre-trip communication was consistent, clear and always proactively helpful. Priyantha made our actual trip truly hassle free, and the vehicle was a spacious and comfortable van. From pickup at our hotel in Colombo to drop off at the airport on the last day - we had no problem coordinating and communicating. He was always there when we needed him for little trips for meals outside our hotel within each stop.…

The best tour company in the most incredible country!

My family and I have just returned from a magical 2 week holiday in Sri Lanka, with help from Tour buddy  (Priyantha) Right from the moment of our first enquiry 6 months ago, Priyantha was the most responsive and helpful of any companies we spoke to, offering advice on potential routes, places to stay. He was then available whenever we had questions leading up to the trip, and despite my normal planning angst gave us comfort that we could still arrange whatever we wanted to do when we finally got there - something which proved incredibly helpful with a young family (daughters 5+9) as we could make the most of our time there and sort things last minute depending on how we were feeling - all thanks to Priyantha's fantastic network all over the country. A great experience!

We are a family of five, and we spent a wonderful nine days in Sri Lanka with Tour Buddy. From the moment we met Priyantha at the airport, we felt welcome and safe. He arranged everything we wanted, and we didn’t hear the word “no” from him even once. He was always friendly and in a good mood, sharing many interesting things about the island. Simply the best way to see Sri Lanka

I am based in the Uk. I had an idea of what my husband and I wanted from a trip to Sri Lanka but in honesty did not like the price or itinerary of big well known travel companies. Discovering Priyantha and his Company Tourbuddy was a revelation. At the planning stage he listened to my ideas and advised me on the number of nights needed at each location and even booked many of our hotels at the ‘local’ rate rather than that stated on booking.com He helps you plan your own bespoke trip. From picking us up at the airport to dropping us back 14 days later he gave 110%. Not only driving us to places of interest but to and from evening restaurants. He was there whenever we needed him and yet had the perfect balance of giving us private down time. On top of all that he detoured miles out of his way to show my husband a golf course in the mountains. Tour with Gayan

We just had a fabulous five day tour with Gayan from Tour Buddy, touring Ella, Udawalawe park, Galle and Hikkaduwa. He gave us excellent tips on places, restaurants and things to do that we could not have found on our own (a secret waterfall for a refreshing swim, for example). He is a very good and careful driver, so we felt safe in the sometimes chaotic traffic in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Sri Lanka experience

We had the most amazing 8 day family trip to Sri Lanka in huge part due to Priyantha! We are a family of 4 with 11 and 13 yo boys. Priyantha was absolutely fabulous at helping us find the exact kind of activities, locations, and food we wanted. I have hired drivers before on other trips and have often felt pushed into going to very specific tourist spots/restaurants, so I was a little nervous we were going to deal with that again. We had nothing to worry about at all! Priyantha heard us and made suggestions that were absolutely perfect for what we wanted out of this trip, and when we decided to make changes to our itinerary, he was accommodating and helped us book the activities we wanted to do - absolutely taking the stress out of the trip. We visited Sri Lanka with some friends to watch some England cricket matches & also see some of the sites. Priyantha met us at the airport and for the next 10 days made our visit really special. In January of 2025, we came to Sri Lanka for the first time and were so lucky to get Gayan from tour buddy as our driver. As we fell in love with the country and the people, we decided to come back in January 2026. We would not have wanted to tour Sri Lanka with any other driver than Gayan, so we decided to go on a second tour with him. He is the calmest and safest driver you can imagine, he was happy to drive us wherever we wanted and also offered suggestions of good places to visit. Priyantha is a great driver and a wonderful person

Priyantha was a safe, steady and punctual driver and a lovely person. He truly went above and beyond for us, driving extra km when my mum had a meeting back in Colombo from Galle, and even staying with us at the doctors when my son had an accident. Amazing ride with Gayan

We traveled for 17 days in Sri Lanka with Gayan and it was just perfect. Gayan was kind from the first minute we arrived. He drives really calmly and you feel safe at any time during the trips; we didn’t feel the 4 or 5 hours of traveling. He is someone always willing to help you during your travel and to give you the perfect advice. We arrived in Sri Lanka just after the flooding, and Gayan knew what we could do and what we couldn’t do. He quickly gave us a solution to still enjoy our trip even if some places weren’t accessible. Thanks to him, we went to his brother-in-law’s place (Sisi’s Place Bentota), which I also strongly recommend. You feel like at home, and the hosts are willing to help you with anything. We also had the chance to meet Gayan’s family, his son Chenitha and his wife. We went for tea at their house; that was a really good experience. They even made some memories for our honeymoon. In a few words, I HIGHLY recommend Gayan for his professionalism, his kindness, and all his advice. You can go with him without any hesitation.

Family Tour - 10 Days exploring Sri Lanka

We just completed a lovely 10 day holiday in January, touring Sri Lanka with Lakminige Sumith and Tour Buddy travelling to Galle, Unawatuna, Yala, Haputale, Ella, Nuara Eliya, Kandy, Dambula, Habarana, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura finishing at near Negombo. Communications were quick and easy, questions answered promptly. Priyantha was excellent to work with when I was planning the trip, and Sumith who picked us up from the airport and from the start turned out to be much more than a driver. He is also a teacher, advisor and a local friend who helped us to safely find our way as we were visiting the country for the first time, improving our itinerary with suggestions of his own. He has travelled the island extensively and has a fantastic understanding of its history and culture as well as all the good places to go. As a family our interests varied and travelling together for 10 days, Sumith did a great job blending in with this. Our Toyota van was spacious and well airconditioned. As a driver on what is largely single lane roads with all the traffic for an island of 22 million, Sumith is extremely safe and reliable.…

A fabulous trip with Lakminige Sumith and Tour Buddy!

I want to thank Lakminige Sumith and Tour Buddy for the most fabulous holiday in Sri Lanka. My family visited seven locations across the island with Sumith driving us to and from each location in a very skillful and safe manner. We really appreciated just how safe Sumith’s driving is. Some of the other highlights travelling Sri Lanka with Sumith: > ensured we had a good plan in place at the end of each day for the following day > called ahead to each of our accommodations to let them know what time we would be arriving > shared excellent local advice across the whole of the trip > checked ahead to make sure we arrived at the Uda Walawe Elephant Transit Centre for feeding time > organised fabulous tuk tuk drivers to take us to Lipton Seat > drove us around and shared a wealth of historical knowledge at each of the cultural sites (Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa), also made sure that we made it to some of the most important sites prior to closing time We had a fabulous trip with Sumith and I would 100% recommend him as a guide. Amazing experience with Priyantha very helpful, not a day went by where he was not early and on time. Very safe with him. He always had the AC running and the car smelt really good. He always stopped randomly to show us sights,birds/tress specific to sri lanka. He was so kind and patient with us. We had him for 2 weeks and i cannot recommend him enough. From the moment our rider Hemantha welcomed us from the airport, it was the most convenient factor that made our trip a breeze. They were available at the hotel every day, 10 minutes before the meeting time. We crossed the route together, adding extras that are good to accompany us at every stop. The vehicle was very comfortable, clean and full. On the way, you can come across situations you can’t imagine, and it was so saving to have such a warm, good-intentioned, courteous person with us. We hope to visit this beautiful country again and set a route together again.

Honeymoon tour of Sigiriya-Kandy-Ella-Yala-Colombo

Sept 2025 • Couples We had the absolute best time with Priyantha. He is super knowledgeable about the sites and history and knows which ones are not to be missed. We have him the outline of what we knew we wanted to see and he filled in all of the gaps with incredible experiences. Highly recommend Priyantha for a tour around Sri Lanka. Excellent service from Gayan (Tour Buddy)

We found Gayan to be extremely professional, reliable and courteous and are very happy to recommend him. He is a very safe driver and we always felt comfortable in his very clean car. There were many times where I was glad that it was Gayan driving rather than me (such as the road to Horton Plains NP). His English is good and he has an excellent knowledge of all the usual tourist sites throughout the island. He was normally early to meeting points and on the rare occasions where things went wrong, he always kept us informed and even offered to pay for a tuk tuk in one case. Gayan never pressured us to go places that we were not interested in. He quickly learnt our interests and tailored his suggestions accordingly. The activities that Gayan organised/suggested for us were all very enjoyable (especially enjoyed the swim and lunch at the Diyaluma falls and Lipton's seat). Amazing

Sept 2025 We have just returned from a 10 day trip of Sri Lanka. Priyantha picked our family up from Colombo and drove us to a wedding up in Dambulla. The journey was long but Priyantha was extremely friendly and was able to give us lots of history about Sri Lanka along the way. His van was clean and spacious and we felt safe with his diving. Some of the roads can be a bit hair raising. Priyantha provided stops for refreshments and recommended sites to visit on our way back to Colombo via Kandy with him. We would highly recommend Priyantha and Tour Buddy to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Having a van to see the sites was a plus. Priyantha was punctual and open to questions about things to do. We have just returned from a 2 week trip around Sri Lanka with Priyantha; we visited Kandy, Sigriya, Negombo, Ella, Mirrissa and Hikkaduwa. He was really helpful and very responsive when I was booking the trip, also with making suggestions and recommendations. I had planned where we would stop, and Priyantha filled in all of the gaps with activities and stops and also restaurants and places to grab food and snacks. He has a very comfortable and spacious vehicle – it was made the long journeys easy for us. I was so glad that we didn’t just hire a car, as I think we would have found the driving ourselves stressful – it was nice to be able to relax and not worry about where we going! Communication was great and fast throughout the whole trip, and he was always on time. Fantastic Sri Lanka experience

I would recommend using tour buddy. Over an eight day trip our driver Priyantha was great. He organised both accommodation and safaris. He was a very safe driver, provided great food options, drove very safely and got on well with all the family. He knew the best times to visit each attraction. It led to a very stress less holiday.

A short but fulfilling experience of a part of Sri Lanka with a friendly host.

We booked Tour Buddy for our 5 day trip and with their input finalised our itinerary. From when we were picked up by our driver Gayan, everything went as planned. Gayan was always on time and drove us safely in a comfortable air conditioned car. With his guidance we experienced much from Sigirya-Dambulla to Ellla, including an elephant safari and the train ride to Ella. Our trip felt as if we were shown around Sri Lanka by an acquaintance. We would not hesitate to recommend Tour Buddy to anyone wanting to book a car and driver for their tour of Sri Lanka.

Best local places, honest and very safe

For Priyantha: Our trip was off to a rocky start before we even met Priyantha at the airport. My sister and I were supposed to meet up in Hong Kong on a layover for the connecting flight bound for Colombo. She made the connection, while I missed my flight. As a result, Priyantha had to first pick up my sister at 1 a.m. and bring her to the hotel, before heading right back to the airport to pick me up at 4:30 a.m. Needless to say, a night without sleep is enough to put anyone in a bad mood. If Priyantha was tired or stressed, well, it just never showed. He had a big smile and an easygoing attitude. And so that unfortunate start to our trip was quickly forgotten. We departed at dawn for our first stop at Sigiriya four hours away. Then he drove the rest of the day taking us to Dambullah Caves and wherever else we wanted to go. All in all, he was our driver and tour guide for two long days. It didn’t matter that we didn’t have much time to plan for this trip, because he always suggested something that fit exactly what we wanted to do or see. Thank you, Priyantha, for making all that so easy. You made all the difference!

Amazing trip to Sri Lanka with Tour Buddy!

Our trip wouldn’t have been possible without Priyantha (Tour Buddy), he made our two weeks of travel in Sri Lanka effortless! He was always on time, and incredibly flexible when our plans changed. The vehicle was clean, comfortable and air conditioned, and had plenty of space for our group of 6 plus all of our luggage. He was great at communicating throughout the trip, responding to messages promptly and always being helpful. He gave lots of great suggestions for things to do, places to eat and the route for the trip so we felt like it enhanced not just the journeys. Very reliable driver.

We asked Priyantha to arrange two days of travel and safari. I asked them because they were quick to respond from the time we exchanged bookings, they gave us advice on scheduling and I felt I could trust them, and the price was more reasonable than the competition. We kept in touch on what's up there. Accurate on time and safe driving. We were able to go around on a lean schedule with no stops at souvenir shops or anywhere else but what we asked for. They were thoughtful and suggested some highlights to recommend. It is a friendly character and you can feel safe. The safari guide who arranged it was also amazing, and I was able to meet a lot of elephant parents, children and bosses. I really recommend it. If you know someone who is going to Sri Lanka, I definitely recommend it.

Priyantha and Gayan were wonderful drivers and tour guides on our three week trip around Sri Lanka with our 4 year old. They’re both knowledgeable, friendly and excellent & careful drivers. We were so grateful for them - took a lot of the stress out of getting around! Would 💯 recommend them!

Great driver

We have made an unforgettable tour with the help of our driver Priyantha. He's given us so many tips data which has only made our trip better. He is a very friendly man with a lot of knowledge about Sri Lanka, and not unimportantly a very good driver who values safety! The costs for a private driver are also very bad. A brilliant experience

We had a brilliant time with Gayan who drove us from the South Coast of Sri Lanka up through the Hill Country for a week. He was a great and careful driver and very kind. Highly recommend if you need someone to take you around the island.

Fun trip to Kandy

Exceptional driver

I'm a Sri Lankan-American (living in the US) and have had many experiences with different drivers in my 10+ visits to the country, most of them not positive. Priyantha was by far the best driver we've ever encountered, he was punctual, communicated clearly and efficiently, incredibly knowledgeable about routes and dining/entertainment. He was also a really safe driver which is rare and super important to us since we were traveling with our 2 little kids. He had a good car seat ready and was able to suggest great eating options for the family. Highly, highly, recommend.

Driving through Sri Lanka with a local friend by your side

We have just spend 4 days with our driver Gayan from Tour buddy. We can thoroughly recommend him. He is a very safe driver and we felt very secure with him in Sri Lankan traffic. The car was spotlessly clean, new and the A/C worked perfectly. During the trip, we changed the route because of bad weather and he was flexibel with that. Nothing was ever a problem for him. He gave us a lot of information driving past poits of interest and suggested sights to visit. He has a very calm personality and is very kind. A lovely human being.

Beyond excellent

We toured Sri Lanka with Priyantha for 12 days, Colombo-Sigiriya-Pollonaruwa-Kandy-Ella-Yala-Mirissa. He was the most knowledgeable, flexible and friendly tour guide you could ask for. Excellent tour with Sumith (via Tour Buddy)

We spent over three weeks with Lakminige Sumith in Sri Lanka over the Christmas and new years holiday of 2024. He was very reliable, helpful and friendly throughout the trip. We were scheduled to travel the island and had hotels booked for the areas of Hatton, Kandy, Dambulla, Pasikuda, Ella, Yala and Tangalle. Sumith consulted us during each segment of our trip to understand what we wanted to do in each region and offered a range of ideas for excursions and sightseeing and (without booking anything before arriving) helped us fill our time with enjoyable activities. Our trips included tea plantations, hiking, shopping for local arts and souvenirs, historical sites, waterfalls, safari and lots of great food. We are vegetarian and he made sure that we were looked after at the restaurants. He has good knowledge of local culture, history and wildlife and shared stories. Sometimes we just took a day to relax and enjoy our hotels and Sumith would stick around in case we needed anything.

The absolute BEST!!!

We had the most amazing 8 night trip to Sri Lanka, we wouldn't change a thing other than staying longer so we could explore more of the beautiful country! Priyantha helped us with the initial trip plan - we told him a few places we knew we wanted to go and were open for additional suggestions. He was able to map out a basic route and set us up with a driver as he was already working with someone else the time we would be there. Our driver, Sampath, was wonderful and truly made our trip so special! He was very friendly, a GREAT driver, he really went above and beyond with everything! All of the additional places we stopped were great, so many places that we never would have known about! He was always on time and excellent communicating with us! 9 days through Sri Lanka

We became aware of Priyantha through a driver agency and decided to hire him as a driver for our 9-day round trip. Communication went by email. Inquiries were sometimes necessary to clarify all the questions asked. Priyantha received us at the airport and made sure we got a Sim card and drove us to trusted money changers in Colombo and Kandy with very good rates. He organized safari tours, massages and hiking trips for us (details on prices and means of transport should be requested) and was always flexible during stops. He always had umbrellas or bags at hand when you needed them and gave us valuable tips. But what was most important for us: We were always safe with him in the car! Priyantha maintains a very forward-looking, safe and calm driving style. We also got to know him as a very patient, punctual and friendly person. After the farewell we were even further in the country and Priyantha was also available to us via Whatsapp or mail for questions and would have organized us further transfers. At the end of our trip he drove us to the airport as he had dropped off a group of other travellers nearby. We would travel with him again! Thanks for the great time!…

Comfortable and best trip!

Sept 2024 From Negonbo, I travelled to Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Colombo for 6 days with my driver Priyantha. We were a little worried about him, as he was punctual and always looked out for us when we drove safely. It was a long drive at times, but it was always a friendly response. They took me to places I hadn't originally planned, and I know good restaurants. And I adjusted the order of my visits to make my trip more comfortable. My daughter's glasses broke during the trip and I'm so grateful for her help in fixing them, and for the service beyond the driver and Guide. I recommend it.

Fantastic experience!

Fantastic experience! We spent a week together with Priyantha, starting from Colombo and arriving all the way to the seaside in Uppuveli! In the days spent together, Priyantha was an excellent guide, both for our mini van and for advice on which places to visit and activities to do! The mini van was very comfortable, also considering that we were a group of 6 people, and Priyantha's guide was pleasant and balanced (we took excellent naps). The activities he recommended were all excellent and fun! Priyantha is a wonderful person and has been doing this job for a long time, demonstrating competence and professionalism. In addition to this, there was no shortage of moments of chatting and fun together! Super recommended!

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

Priyantha was amazing! He is an expert and professional driver. He was ALWAYS on time (and at least 1/2 the time waiting for us- because we were not always on time). The van was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. Priyantha also recommended excellent restaurants and tourist attractions for us to try/experience. Our trip to Sri Lanka would not have been the same without him. His friendliness, attention to detail, and expertise made our trip! He always went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic experience. We will refer all our friends and family who may be going to Sri Lanka to use Tour Buddy and ask specifically for him! Amazing trip!

Gayan drove us for 4 days from Negombo airport to Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Kandy. He was very helpful in planning our days and always available to us. He drove us to every sight in Polonnaruwa, which was also good, since the distance between each sight would be very far on a bike which we originally planned. When we asked him for help after our time together was over, he was also very helpful! I tend to get carsick, but Gayan drove very comfortable and we felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend! Excellent driver and guide.

Priyantha was an outstanding driver and guide during our holiday in Sri Lanka. He navigated his way safely through the busy Sri Lankan traffic and was also always attentive to the local flora and fauna, so we didn't have to miss a thing. In addition to this he also had good ideas for us about the set-up of the trip and invariably had good tips for excellent accommodations. Also, he was always punctual and good-humoured. We went on a nine-day family trip to Sri Lanka with Gayan. Gayan was a very good driver, polite, and punctual. Before we left, we were concerned about how the car would be for the long journey, but looking back, the children said that the car was very comfortable. We were a large family of five, so renting a van may have been a factor. Gayan was not only an excellent driver but also an excellent guide, paying close attention to our condition and making various suggestions. He introduced us to restaurants and activities, and once we had a problem and were unable to stay at the accommodation we had booked, but he immediately called another hotel on the spot and we were able to find a place to stay for that day. In the end, the accommodation was comfortable and he introduced it to us at a discount, so it was really all thanks to Gayan. I believe that it was because of Gayan that we were able to have such a safe and comfortable trip with three children, visiting many cities. We spent 7 days visiting this beautiful country. Thanks to Priyantha for making our trip extra special! We got in touch via WhatsApp and agreed the outline of our trip in advance. In the days before our flight we heard from Priyantha again who was making sure everything was OK on our side and arranged to meet us at the arrivals hall. Driving us safely in his clean van was just the start. Priyantha is friendly, polite, fun and very knowledgeable about almost everything, so we were able to identify so many of the local animals, birds and plants, as well as learning about the culture… and discovering great food! We really appreciated his advice and while we often ate lunch along the way where he knew the owners, we could quickly trust that he would be taking us to small restaurants and avoid big tourist places. Wonderful holidays in Sri Lanka with Gayan

We recently visoted Sri Lanka with 3 kids (age 6, 8 and 10). We had Gayan as our driver for a week and a half. All went smooth right from the beginning! 2 week trip around Sri Lanka

We could not recommend your buddy highly enough. We were originally paired with Hemantha, but he sadly hurt his ankle so was unable to drive us - but still met us at the airport to welcome us to Sri Lanka, and introduced us to our new driver that had been arranged called Indika. Indika was incredible - so kind, flexible, excellent communication and helpful in suggesting routes and places of interest. We were travelling with a 1 year old which is always challenging but indika helped us so much and our daughter loved him. We loved our time with indika and would book again in a heartbeat. Awesome trip with Priyantha

Our journey with Priyantha was very fun and he made our trip greater one. He is very kind and gentle guy. His driving was very safe, and he had paid attention onto us all the time. He slowed down his car when I was trying to take a photo. His car was very clean and spacious as well. Before our trip, we had conversation on WhatsApp. His reply was very prompt and informative so I could trust him. One day before our trip, he confirmed our reservation of the first night to tell we arrive late (which is very kind) and he found that the hotel did not confirm my reservation. I had some trouble with that hotel afterwards, but he assisted me to solve the problem. He dropped by some local shop on the road to let us experience some local food. Even though he is a driver, he also gave us some useful information about sightseeing spots. He has many friends or colleagues everywhere and arranged safari trip for us. Some people were waiting for their tour to begin, but we could start Safari right after we arrived on the spot. Great 7 days with Priyantha

My husband and I had great 7 days with Mr. Priyantha over the New Year holidays. While we planned our trip, he gave us useful advice about the itinerary via email, and he even arranged for us to purchase train tickets from Nanu Oya to Ella, which were very difficult to get. Priyantha's email responses were polite and prompt, so we could trust him before our trip. He gave us breaks during the journey where we could have local experiences. Sti Lanka with teens

We did a 5 day drive with Tour Buddy and our excellent driver Gayan. Started with a pickup from Colombo airport, heading straight for Kandy. Being rainy season we went from bright sunshine to torrential rain back to sunshine again. Gayan is a very kind, calm, friendly and safe driver. At no stage did we feel worried during the ride, since he navigated heavy (and at times crazy) traffic with ease. Heading from Kandy into the mountains of Nuwara Eliya and Ella, Gayan stopped at the most beautiful waterfalls and villages for us to explore and start out hikes from. Highlights were all the hikes and a train ride over the 9 Arch Bridge. From there we headed towards Weligama to go surfing and swim with turtles. Excellent trip!

Great Experience

Priyantha was an excellent driver! We fully recommend him! He helped us in every step: some weeks before getting to Sri Lanka he already suggested a trip plan and a list of hotels in every stop which was very helpful beacause even if you can google it, he knows the best spots. He also helped with all the booking like safaris, trains, etc… He drives very safely and smooth, especially that Sri Lankans road are not very easy. He is very pleasant and nice! A wonderful 8 days in Sri Lanka in August 2023 with the perfect driver, Gayan. We completed a reverse loop – Mirissa, Udawalawe, Ella, Kandy, Habarana, Trincomalee and back to Colombo – in a Toyota Van that was very comfortable and spacious and in excellent condition. Best driver for families in Sri Lanka

We found Priyantha through the Internet, and he already stood out for his excellent ratings and reviews. And honestly, he is even better. We were on the island for 3.5 weeks with three little girls (7, 5 and 2) and Priyantha was incredibly reliable throughout the whole time, sweet to the kids and us and made everything possible that we wanted. He also organized special things for us, such as a stay in a wildlife bungalow in Kumana Parc including a jeep for 2 days. He always arrived at least 5 minutes before the agreed time and we always felt safe with him, which is not a given with the traffic in Sri Lanka. With our three small children, we had special needs, such as regular stops for bio breaks or shopping, and he always patiently accommodated them and helped us get the best price. Even though we already had a rough idea of what we wanted to visit, he was very helpful in the day-to-day planning and made sure our trip was truly unique and memorable. All in all, he was more than just a driver: he was truly a buddy to us during this fantastic trip.

It was a good decision to hire a car with a driver. We spent 7 days traveling around Sri Lanka as 2 adults with 2 children. The driver met us at the airport on time, the car was spacious enough for our family and luggage. Priyantha was never late, always arriving ahead of agreed upon time, assisting with booking a safari and whenever we had a miscommunication in hotel, he also knew where to buy the best fruit. Amazing service with a fantastic driver

We travelled with Gayan in April 2023 (Negombo, Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Udawalawe, Mirissa) for 10 days. Gayan was a fantastic driver, I can sometimes be a nervous passenger however always felt safe with him. Gayan was able to recommend things for us to do, often arranging tours/safaris/excursions through his own contacts, which were always reasonably priced and with experienced and knowledgeable guides. We also never felt pressure from Gayan if there was something we didn’t fancy doing. We chose several hotels that were difficult to get to but Gayan was able to get us to where we needed to, showing his experience and driving skill on some of the tougher terrain! Our holiday was amazing and we can confidently say that this was due to Gayan’s help and expertise along the way. We would 100% recommend Gayan as a driver and if we do return to Sri Lanka would love for him to be our driver again.

Highly recommended. We took a car for 2 weeks. Everything was organized at a high level. We had a driver Gayan. He always arrived on time and patiently waited for us. Priyantha Kumara was our amazing, calm and impeccable clean driver! We were a group of 6 friends with different personalities and all of us loved him. His English is very good, very smooth drive, clean car and no music if we didnt ask. Amazing trip!

It's hard to find a trusty company on the internet. We went on a 9 days trip, made by my own with my wife. I warmly recommend our driver and Tour Buddy. Hema is such a nice person, our trip was great thanks to him. He understood our philosophy well and made some useful suggestions. Even if I'm a bad/average English speaker he take the time and arrange everything for us. The car (hybrid sedan like) was confortable and spacious. I'm very glad we asked for a driver (the trafic in europe is nothing compared to the Sri Lanka)! He drives very smoothly and carefully. To conclude he treats us with a lot of respect and kindness, if I could give more than a 5/5 rate I would!

Helpful, punctual and knowledgeable driver

The booking process with Tour Buddy was smooth. Priyantha was responsive on both mails and WhatsApp. The assigned driver was HD Gayan. He was very polite, discreet, helpful and punctual. The car was very clean. Gayan organized a good guide for us at the Sigiriya Lion Rock. He also organized the elephant safari at Minneriya National Park, where we enjoyed a good look at the elephants. Though we did not have train reservation for the Nuriya Eliya to Ella train journey, he encouraged us to try it, helped us get into a less crowded coach and was at the Ella station when the train arrived. He also joined us for the trek to the Nine Arches bridge at Ella. Gayan also guided us at the Buddha Tooth Relic temple and helped us get a close look at the deity. I would use Tour Buddy and Gayan again, if I were to visit Sri Lanka again.

Tour Buddy – Amazing vacation with Hema

Hemantha (or Hema) is not just a driver. He is a professional guide, friend and caretaker. During our 9-day (6th to 15th January 2023) trip through Sri Lanka which was our 1st time in this country we visited many amazing locations, had amazing experiences and learned a lot from our new friend Hema. He helped us to plan the whole trip day by day to get the most out of our time here. We were contacted on WhatsApp just before the day of arrival. When we arrived, we were conveniently greeted at the airport Arrivals by our name sign in Hema’s hands and led to our car which was very good, spacious and luxurious. We booked “Large” car option. After that we went on our way to Sigiriya to hike Pidurangala rock and see one of the most beautiful sunrises we have seen. Then we went to Kandi area, then Adam’s Peak area, after that took the train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella where we were again welcomed by Hema on platform and then after spending 2 days in Ella, we went to Yala National Park and finally arrived at our final destination in Sri Lanka tour, Mirissa to spend some relaxed days at the beach before flying back home.…

Fantastic reliable driver with very good English

We had a beautiful time in Sri Lanka with Priyantha as our driver. We spent 12 days together. We highly recommend him and would certainly book him again. He is a lovely guy, always on time, knows the best places to go to and is very knowledgeable about Sri Lanka. We started our trip in Negombo and did a 12 day tour around the island. His English is great as well so there were no communication issues at all. He is very good with kids and our 6 year old son was always happy to see Priyantha and go on another adventure. Sri Lanka is a special place but the traffic is very different. We will certainly contact Priyantha to be our driver for our next trip to Sri Lanka again.

Honeymoon in Sri Lanka

In December, we had the perfect honeymoon adventure around Sri Lanka on an eleven day tour. Our driver (Priyantha) was an exceptional tour buddy - assisting us throughout our trip and driving us to each location. We visited Sri Lanka in November for a short 5D/4N trip. I found Priyantha online and sent him a message. The communication was easy, booking process was very smooth. Priyantha did not disappoint. Fantastic road trip experience

Priyantha was our driver for two weeks in April/May of this year when we visited Sri Lanka on honeymoon. He was excellent, the whole booking process was very smooth, he was always on time and the journeys were comfortable. He also made great suggestions for additional stops where there was something to see or do along the way and went out of his way to help us with organisation - e.g booking a safari. It was the ideal way to explore Sri Lanka - we would very much recommend Tour Buddy.

The best choice for traveling in Sri Lanka

In mid-March 2022, we (a couple of 73 year old) travelled for 15 days with Priyantha as our driver. We had only the best experiences with him as a driver and his organisation on this trip. Priyantha was always on time, in a good mood, very knowledgeable, accommodated every request for changes to the route and always gave us good advice. The car was always clean. We cannot imagine that the trip would have been so smooth with another driver.

We used Tour Buddy for our 14 day trip around the South of Sri Lanka. Our driver Gayan was amazing. He was so prompt, helpful and added so much value to our trip. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was so lovely. He suggested some places to visit we weren’t aware of but wasn’t pushy. We did a 7 days tour with Priyantha and couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience. Everything was perfect from start to finish. What an amazing unforgettable service provided by Tour Buddy for our honeymoon trip to Sri Lanka. We got in touch with Tour Buddy when we arrived in Sri Lanka as we wanted a driver from the second day of our 19 day trip. Priyantha quickly replied with costs and timings and explained that they had a driver available. Everything was communicated through WhatsApp once we booked which was really easy for us and super helpful. Our driver Prasad picked us up on time the first day and was an excellent driver! For us from the UK, driving on the roads in Sri Lanka is a little different but Prasad was an absolutely excellent driver and we felt super safe at all times. Not only was Prasad an excellent driver he was also an excellent tour guide and he made our trip absolutely amazing! He came with us to the various temples, stupa’s and statues and told us all about the Buddhist culture which we really enjoyed learning about.. so much we actually bought a book on Buddhism so we could learn more. Great driver!

Priyantha is a wonderful driver, we could not have imagined a better one. He is very reliable, extremely helpful and always on time. He helped us with any uncertainties and incidentally introduced us to the country and its culture. At the same time he is very humorous and friendly but still reserved in the right measure and not pushy or too talkative. 10-day tour with Gayan

We had a 10-day tour with Gayan and it was awesome! He was always punctual and patient and was able to tell us a lot about all the sights on our way. Also he gave us some pretty decent hints for restaurants and other nice stuff! Big plus for organising us a very own jeep(picture below) for a safari tour in Udawalawe NP. Gayan is an awesome driver and I’m sure you’ll feel very safe in his very clean car! He’s very flexible and picked us up even in the very early morning at 4:30 or late night. 10/10

I wasn't sure what to think about all amazing reviews that Priyantha has but we honestly couldn't wish for a better driver :) Communication from the start was perfect, he kept in touch before our trip, always on time, happy to accomodate any plans and fun to be around.

We had a great tour with Hemantha and would thoroughly recommend Tour Buddy. They offer a very personalised service and are very professional and prompt. Hemantha was great and a fabulous tour guide. We would have liked a slightly bigger car though - this can be requested when you book.

Two weeks - fabulous trip with Priyantha

We had a wonderful two weeks with Priyantha. Priyantha was always on time and flexible around our plans. The car was always clean, the perfect temperature and he was a very safe driver. All the suggestions he made worked well for our trip, the lunch spots the safari guides etc. Priyantha went the extra mile for us with things like the trains, he found a faster train and made sure we made it ( literally waited on the platform and made sure we were on!). Excellent service from Gayan

My friend and I spent 6 day with Gayan in January 2020. He waited for us at the airport and drove us to Anuradhapura. In the following days we visited Mithale, Sigirya, Danbulla, Kandy, a lot of tea fields and falls on the way to Horton Plane, Ella, National Park Yala, Mirissa, Galle, Madu river, Bentota. Moragalla and Colombo. We had extremely fulfilling and demanding days but Gayan was great. We visited and whitewashed everything we wanted. He is a very pleasant person and not noisy. Recommended Private Driver in Sri Lanka

We spent 5 days touring Sri Lanka with our driver Priyantha from Tour Buddy who came highly recommended from friends. AMAZING!

We travelled for 5 days with Gayan and everything was just PERFECT. He is an excellent driver, very professional and always caring for us. He showed us many beautiful places in Sri Lanka, he gave us great advice and was always available for anything we needed. We did a safari in Udawalawe and made a route through Ella, Nuwara Eliya and Kandy (departing from Negombo and arriving to Colombo at the end). We book them through srilankacaranddriverhire and talked everything with Priyantha, who we couldn't meet but he was available from the beginning and also during the journey through WhatsApp. He recommended a couple of hotels which were delightful and also bought tickets from Ella tu Nuwara Eliya one month prior to our arrival. The van was super comfortable and clean, of course. We definitely recommend them :) We are so happy!

Tour of Yala National Park and Ella

What a fantastic trip I have been coming to Sri Lanka since 2003 so know I know the place quite well. This was my third trip to Ella and it never fails to disappoint. The main drag has developed and is attracting many young people so it is vibrant and fun. Because Priyantha comes many times he took us to a fun resturant and bar called Chill. Great food at reasonable prices. Yala National park was another highlight of the trip. An early morning start in the rain made for an interesting start, being drenched in the safari vehicle. As the morning progressed we saw many birds and animals. The nature was stunning and I have to say an area of outstanding beauty. I wanted to stay a lot longer and get out of the vehicle to commune with nature but sadly this was not allowed. The roads in Sri Lanka are slowly improving and can only get better so getting from A to B can only improve.

Excellent driver with a good character

Sept 2019 I’m so happy to find Pryantha! Very good driver with a clean car and a new baby seat. We chose black Toyota minivan and it was very comfortable for three. Moreover the seat could be displayed and we all and the baby in his seat could sleep. It’s very important for long distances. We have just returned from our 14 day trip with him and now I can confirm all the reviews I have read about him before. Punctual, patient, helpful, positive and smiling all the time! Changing his clothes every day) Our three year son liked him so much and never missed an opportunity to play together despite the fact that they talked different languages! He even stayed with him several times in a car when we went out. Knows very good the infrastructure of the cities and all the restaurants we visited with him were very good. Helped us to plan our trip and made his best to satisfy all our requests. Never imposed unnecessary services or talkings and never was annoying. But he will readily answer all your questions if you ask him. We also appreciated much the opportunity to climb Sigiriya while Pryantha stayed with our boy for two hours! We read several good reviews about Tour Buddy before selecting them and were totally happy with our choice! Our driver Gayan was a charming guy, very polite and knowledgeable about Sri Lanka. He spoke good English and was very flexible with our schedules. The car was very clean and comfortable, besides Gayan’s safe & smooth driving made the long distances seem much shorter. He showed us some great places to eat and to buy local tea and other souvenirs based on our liking. He drove us through Sigiriya, Ella and Galle and he showed us some interesting places to see on our way. At times when certain spots were not drivable, he walked with us to ensure our safety. Our family of five spent 14 fabulous days with Hemantha from Tour Buddy. We visited Negombo, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Tissa, Tangalle, Galle and then back to Colombo. Amazing Service

He gladly accommodated all of our wishes (I love grocery stores and really needed a specific coffee...he found it!) Sri Lanka security situation

As a 17 year resident Brit in Sri Lanka, here’s the latest situation. 1. There are no more curfews 2. Social media is up and running 3. Shops are open as are all attractions 4. There is a vastly increased security presence at the airport and all major Colombo hotels. 5. Your bags will be searched going into large Colombo hotels 6. There are some check points, but less than were here during the war. 7. It’s totally safe to travel with Priyantha or other Tour Buddy drivers 8. It’s safe on the beaches, national parks, central highlands etc etc 9. The average Sri Lankan of all faiths was devastated by these attacks 10. EVERYONE is working TOGETHER to bring the country back 11. Do not be afraid of the future, because we’re not. 12. 2 million people depend for their living on the tourism industry. Every Sri Lankan will ALL do what they can to make your stay safe and enjoyable. 13. Cancelling your holiday to this amazing place gives in to the terrorists. 14. Terrorists don’t AND WILL NEVER WIN.

Sensational Sumith

Four of us - two mums and two fourteen year old girls travelled with Tour Buddy for 16 days in April. We had originally booked with Priyantha a few weeks before leaving for our Sri Lanka trip. Priyantha picked us up on time in a great clean van. Off we headed to Kandy on what we found out was one of the busiest travel days in the Sri Lankan calendar. Half way through the trip car trouble hit. Priyantha was calm and professional and arranged for a temporary driver to get us to Kandy (everyone seems to know everyone in Sri Lanka!). The next day we got a new driver - Lakminige Sumith! Sumith was an excellent, safe driver. Sri Lankan roads are crazy! Seriously chaotic. I felt extremely safe with Sumith. Sumith took us to lots of interesting places and explained the background, culture and intricacies of this beautiful country. Sumith was with us on Easter Sunday. I am not sure what we would have done without him. He treated us like family and struck a good balance between keeping us well protected and allowing us to enjoy the next week of our trip. The van was always spotless each morning and Sumith was always on time I highly recommend travelling with Sumith.…

Priyantha is the best!

Accommodating, hospitable, professional, and a safe driver are four descriptions that I would use to describe priyantha. Our flight landed an hour after the first terrorist attack, and despite the circumstances, we were still able to have a great time in Sri Lanka; we are very thankful priyantha showed up to the airport to pick us up, despite being scared himself. We don’t know what we would have done otherwise. Additionally, Priyantha is extremely knowledgeable about the roads in Sri Lanka, having driven around Sri Lanka around 50 times, he took us to the most beautiful places quickly and safely as we had to tweak our schedule due to the attacks. We spent a total of 6 days in Sri Lanka, and there was not a day we regretted having Priyantha as our tour guide.

Great travel tour with Pri as our guide and driver through the chaotic traffic in Sri Lanka. This man is amazing and was really super helpful with great advice on hotels, restaurants and things to visit (and to skip). He arranged train tickets for the train route through the tea plantations to Ella and recommended cool cooking classes. His tips for hotels and duration of the stays in the different places were absolutely helpful (and right). It would fully make sense to book him upfront and ask him for assistance with the hotels and times you should spend at the different places. We travelled as a couple over 9 days from Sigiriya through the hill country and south to Mirissa. My doughters and I spent fantastic time with one of the best guides we had ever, from this Travel agency. They organaized for us all things: hotels, place to must have, and other attrctions. Our driver, Priyantha, is the most obliging, helpful, accommodating, friendly and all round fabulous driver, where nothing is ever any trouble. The nice thing about him is that whatever you need, or want to go, he will suggest, but leaves it up to us. Our Sri Lankan adventure

Priyantha absolutely made our trip amazing. He took us all around Sri Lanka, we saw so many marvelous things. He was helpful and enthusiastic. We could not have had a better guide. Excellent tour of Sri Lanka for first time visitors

Gayan picked us up from Colombo airport and for the next 9 days has driven us to the historic areas of Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa & Dambulla. Then a visit to Kandy and finally Nuwara Eliya or Little Britain and the train trip to Ella, for which he managed to secure reserved seating for us both at the last minute. Finally, Gayan delivered us to our safari in Yala. But he was a lot more than just our driver. He is extremely knowledgeable about all the sites and places we visited. He was always keen to recommend places to visit, but was fine when we just wanted to chill. His excellent English meant he could answer all the questions we posed for him during our many hours of driving, about Sri Lankan culture and lifestyle. All in all, we spent a very enjoyable 9 days in Gayan’s company and would highly recommend him. He is also a very good driver!

I do not like organised tours where I do not have control on hour to hour program. Coming from Australia several friends suggested to take one of the other tour. I got in touch with priyantha after online search. He responded immediately and answered all queries. I decided to go with him. He did not ask for any advance. Only that I pay 50% at the start. Driver promptly contacted before my trip, was at the hotel at the correct time. I only paid 25% of the cost, by my wrong calculations. The driver Gayan was excellent. He provided correct suggestions, has good working knowledge of English. Was on time always. We used his services for eight days. Managed to see what we wanted to see at our own pace. Some days we rested in the hotel after lunch, and some days we did the sight seeing whole day. Driver was cooperative always. He is a safe driver, which is very important for me. The car in very good shape and condition. Driver made sure car was clean always. When we wanted to use rest rooms in the middle of no where, he managed to find a small motel on the way who let us use their facility (at a small cost). I would be happy to recommend priyantha to any of our friends.

In December/January 2019 I enjoyed a wonderful 24 day trip with two friends, 'chauffeured' by Priyantha from TourBuddy.lk. We travelled in a VERY comfortable a/c van through Colombo, Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Adam's Peak, Sinharaja, Marakolliya, Mirissa, Hikkaduwa and Negombo. Pri was always happy to accommodate any of our travel requests and his own suggestions were EXCELLENT! He quickly worked out the type of activities and sites we were interested in and as a result we changed and improved our itinerary based on his suggestions. We had an active, adventure filled journey exploring ancient ruins, temples, jungles, waterfalls, traditional villages, an elephant safari, markets, museums, forts, mountains and beaches. Priyantha's passion for his country was evident in his cultural and historical knowledge. Pri was not only a polite, happy Sri Lankan and a VERY safe and considerate driver - he was also fit enough to join us on many walks and climbs. Driver review

We toured round Sri Lanka for 12 days with Gayan in Jan 2019 and it was fantastic. I would normally drive myself so was a little nervous about relinquishing control to a driver but Gayan was the perfect mix of professionalism and helpfulness. His English is good, if not fluent, and we definitely saw more of the country with him than we would have alone. He is very easy to get along with and get us privacy when we wanted it as well as going the extra mile when we needed picking up late at night. Excellent driver!!

We traveled around Sri Lanka for five days. Firstly, Mr. Priya’s responded swiftly to our questions and suggested attractive activities. The journey through Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Sigiriya. We took two kids (9yrs and 6 yrs) and were somewhat anxious about how to entertain them. However, Mr Priya’s plan gave us precious time and our kids have loved Sri Lanka at last. In 16 days Around Sri Lanka

We start in October with or tour around Sri Lanka start from Negombo to Anuradhapura, Trincomale and so to the south Mirissa and end again in Negombo. Priyantha advice us in the begin were to go and to stay. we compared his advice and its was all oke. we had an very good time with Priyantha and had also a lot of fun with this Buddy he have a lot of suggestions where to go and to stop. on the way we stopted a lot becaus we saw a lot of fruits what we like to have. 10 days in Sri Lanka with the legend, Priyantha !!

We had an amazing and unforgettable time in Sri Lanka. We started off in Negombo and headed south along the west coast through, Bentota, Galle, Unawatuna, Mirissa, Tangalle before travelling central to Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Sigiriya. We were traveling in a group of 5 with our Mum and Dad. We consider ourselves lucky to have Priyantha as our tour driver and friend along the trip. He is a funny guy who knows the best of places. He is driven by his passion for Travel and the love for his country (Sri Lanka). He will make sure he pulls over at the next roti shop for those local Sri Lankan snacks. The roti shop in Galle was a pleasant surprise. He understands his visitors and suggests and recommends accordingly. He even got umbrellas for us as we were not prepared for the rains. He kept the Van clean at all times and made our travel comfortable. His driving skills are top notch and we didn’t have to worry when taking our naps in the Van. Priyantha is an adventurous guy and we enjoyed many hikes together. Very often he would tell you interesting facts about Sri Lanka which leave you amazed. Sept 2018 • Couples We visited Sri Lanka in September (for the 6th time) and have to say this was the best experience. Priyantha was amazing in every way. Met at the airport and taken on an 8 day tour around the east coast of the island. The van was clean and reliable, and all of Priyantha's suggestions regarding what to see and do (we had no real agenda ourselves) were spot on. National Park to see the elephants and Polonoruwa were real highlights, all facilitated by Priyantha which saved us a lot of time and haggling. Every pick up was on time, and unusually for Sri Lanka we arrived early to all our destinations thanks to his excellent (and safe) driving. Bottled water in the car every journey, and very attentive regarding whether we needed to stop, also making suggestions about what we could do in each place. All in all I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Priyantha to anyone thinking of visiting Sri Lanka, whether you are a regular visitor, or a first-timer. Three day tour with Hermantha

Sept 2018 • Couples Prior to arriving in Sri Lanka, Priya was responsive and informative regarding the arrangements of our 3 day tour. Hermantha was our driver for the tour, beginning in Negombo and ending in Kandy. Throughout the time we spent together, Hermantha ensured we were happy with arrangements and looked out for us. He was very informative and was a great ambassador for his country. We always felt safe with him and if we had a problem, it was felt he would help in any way. He checked in with us some days later to make sure we were happy with the services of another driver and Priya also checked that we had arrived to the destination. It was a pleasure to spend the start of our holiday with Hermantha and would recommend him to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

14 Day Sri Lanka Adventure

We have just finished a fantastic 14 day tour with Priya . Starting in Negombo on 12 August 2018, we covered more than 1600kms Travelling to the north coast , the mountains around Ella, Kandy , the cultural triangle and onto the south coast area. Our car was a very new Toyota Prius. Priya has done a wonderful job of showing us his country. We have seen magnificent ancient temples and archeological sites, his “promised “ 150 elephants in the wild at Kadulla, the spectacular Perahera elephant parade in Kandy, amazing wildlife , mountains , waterfalls , beautiful beaches and always the colourful Sri Lankan culture along the way . From our very first contact we were impressed with his prompt response to our queries . My husband and I really appreciated his suggestions for small changes to our planned itinerary , which made better use of travel time and offered better sight seeing experiences. He went out of his way to secure tickets for us for train travel and events, to source accommodation and many times to make sure we had the opportunity to try SL specialties. He gave us good everyday advice along the way and was always considerate of our safety and well being .…

Priya organised a driver for us, Manju, for a thirteen day tour. Everything was excellent. Manju arrived on time, the van was comfortable and Manju kept it immaculately clean throughout. Manju's driving was faultless and we very much enjoyed his company. Priya checked in with us periodically to check that everything was going OK, and we eventually managed to meet as he was on a stop near one of our hotels. Manju helped us get the most from our trip, was always ready to help and struck up a great rapport with our teenage son. Very, very highly recommended and a very big thank you to you both.

Superb driving with friendly and trustworthy driver

Priya was a great driver for our full on ten day tour of southern Sri Lanka. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very trustworthy. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful trip and wonderful driver!

Sri Lanka is one great destination and a big part of it stems from the professional and loving care we got from our driver Hemantha! He went beyond our expectations- he doggedly followed up on our missing suitcase and because of him, we got it much earlier than usual. I thought I lost my phone ( a panicky scare) and he went back to the stores we went to and lo and behold he found it in the car! Hemantha knew the places to eat and views for picture taking. He was always pleasant and respectful- I highly recommend Hemantha to anyone!

Our Sri Lankan adventure

Priyanthe drove us from Negambo to Kandy and down to the south coast. He arrived every day on time with a clean car and a beautiful smile. He was kind and patient. He is a very good driver and made us all feel safe. I would recommend him to anyone who would like to see this amazing country. I can't wait to come back next year.

Best and most safe tour buddy

From 06/02/2018 till 14/02/2018 my father and I were travelling Sri Lanka with Mr Priyantha (Sri Lanka Tour Driver Priya) starting in Negombo and ending in Negombo. Mr Priyantha wasn't available the first day, but he was so kind to arrange another reliable and friendly driver for the first day. The driver was driving us around in a Toyota hybrid (station wagon). This car was comfortable and the driver stopped whenever we wanted to take a photo along the road. Mr Priyantha himself drove a Toyota minivan that very spacious and comfortable. The first day, we drove north and land inwards to Sigiriya Lion Rock and Dambulla for the cave temple. This was all going smooth and well, at the end of the day we arrived at the hotel that was advised by our driver. Our temporarily driver and us waited at the hotel for Mr Priyantha, he arrived quickly. The second day, Mr Priyantha drove us to Kandy. Also, Mr Priyantha was so kind to stop whenever we wanted. After a save drive we arrived in Kandy where we did some great sightseeing (mostly temples). At the end of the day, we went straight to Adam's peak. This was a long ride for Mr Priyantha but he managed to get us there safely and comfortably.…

A GDPR compliant Tour driver!

I’d heard stories about Sri Lanka drivers. Makes some Europeans look like Formula one professionals. So it was with some trepidation that I climbed into the back of a nice hybrid after being greeted by my driver for the week, Priyantha, for my tour around some of the more off-the-beaten-track places in Sri Lanka. Was my fear justified? Hell, after 2 days I didn’t even think about his skills. His reaction time was superb as you do have to be aware of busses barreling towards you on the wrong side of the road; tri-shaw drivers deciding to pull out in front of you and the odd elephant or stray bullock ambling along. Nothing seemed to faze him. I know I would have been a jibbering wreck if it was me driving. Thank God, it wasn’t. Professional. Friendly, willing to stop where I wanted and full of information, he advised me on where to go, what to eat and even which hotels were good for views. The thing that TRULY surprised me came out of the blue. We were chatting about what I did (I work with data) and he told me that he’d heard about the new GDPR regulations that came into force yesterday. (May 25th) I nearly fell over when he told me he was GDPR compliant!…

What an amazing holiday.

I was wondering how to get around Sri Lanka and found Priyantha from Sri Lanka Tour Driver Priya. What an amazing driver and, not only that, he was so accommodating, purchased our wine and beer for us as well as seeking outgoing the best affordable and tasty meals in the area. Highly recommended and we are returning next year, based on the wonderful experience with our driver Priyantha.
