Great experience
We booked a 10-day tour with a customized itinerary, and Dilshan gave us great advice and support in organizing our activities and travel thanks to quick and easy communication via WhatsApp. Pethum, our driver, was always extremely helpful and punctual. He welcomed us every day with cold water, introduced us to some local fruits, and took us to see a few spots we hadn't discovered on our own. 3 week tour around Sri Lanka with Saffeer.
Great service, Ceylon Best Tours is very professional. The organization beforehand was very smooth, simple, with a very responsive contact person Dilshan! We booked a driver for a 3 week tour around Sri Lanka. Once we arrived, we met our driver Saffeer, who was very attentive, flexible, and always punctual. He always called all hotels to be sure reservations and directions were correct. He also arranged some trips and local guides for us. Fantastic experience made better by the right guide
So much of the holiday experience in Sri Lanka depends on getting the right driver. We were lucky to have Suresh. He was a excellent driver. We had a full 9 day itinerary that took us into the Highlands of Ella via Sigirya and down through Yala and onto Tangalle. Suresh was informative and helpful. Always greeted us with a smile (even at 4am!) He is a credit to Ceylon Best Tours. Fantastic tour with Suresh!
My friends and I did a 9 day tour of Sri Lanka with Suresh and he was absolutely wonderful. He is an excellent and safe driver, with a sweet disposition and great sense of humour. He picked us up from Negombo and first stop was Sigiriya. The remainder of our itinerary was Kandy, Ella, Yala and Tangalle. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble for Suresh; he made sure we got to all our activities on time and booked everything for us that he could with his network meaning we had better experiences than if we settled for what we found online ourselves. We also put him on the spot everyday with picking restaurants to eat and can confirm he has excellent taste! Consider yourself lucky should you have Suresh as a driver!
Tour with fab driver
We started off in Colombo to take care of some family affairs and then moved to Kandy, visiting family, Sigiriya and Dambulla. Then we moved to Nuwara Eliya visiting family and it was fairly cool and rained a wee bit. We then moved to Galle via a stop at the elephant orphanage at Udawallave. We spent a few days there, did a bit of shopping and watching sunsets and then made our way back to Colombo and Galle Face Hotel, which was a serene ending stage. We hoped Supun, and he was a smiling naturally affable and excellent driver. He got us to where we wanted to get to. Always willing to help and gently suggest when it initial thoughts may not have been the best. We all felt safe with him throughout the journey and all fell asleep whilst he was driving. We picked ourselves up after our arrival at Colombo airport and had us taken to our first destination (about 4 hours drive). Then we used the provider again on a more than 4 hour drive. Both times everything worked completely uncomplicated, the drivers were absolutely punctual, friendly and drove very carefully. The cars were absolutely fine. We can fully recommend this provider 👍🏾
10 day trip around Sri Lanka
We were recommended Dilshan from Ceylon best tours by a family that had just used them. We were setting off on a trip of 10 days from Colombo. Was given prices for that tour of £450 from another company. Asked Dilshan and he said he could do that tour for £550, which was an extra £100, but I had a recommendation and thought maybe I would rather go with a recommendation than an adhoc alternative. We booked them. The tour was Colombo to Anuradhapura on to Trincomalee, then to Sigiriya onto Kandy then to Nuwara Eliya which is called Little England. Caught a train from there to Ella. Our driver (Supun) dropped us there and then drove to Ella and picked us up there. We then went to Yala national park. Our journey ended there. The experience was being with a driver Supun who went out of his way to make our experience an exceptional journey, not only with his driving skill but his stories and his recommendations. He was a driver a tour guide and above all a friend. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company, but especially ask for Supun, he is what made our journey special.

Perfect service
Hello! I had two trips within a week. The first ride was from the airport at late night with Safeer. Safeer kindly helped me with my check-in and luggage at 4 am. And the second ride to Kataragama location was with Prabashana. It was raining and went to the peak, Prabashana stayed with us like a guardian until our jeep arrived and communicated with local people on arrangements. Drivers are very polite and helpful, on time and in touch, and the trip can be arranged quickly! Special thanks to Dilshan for all the arrangements)

A fantastic experience!
I contacted the agency to get a travel quote with private driver for a tour around the country for 3 people lasting 14 days. I immediately got in touch with Dilshan with whom we exchanged my itinerary and he helped me fix it and provided me with a good guide for a trek in the Sri Lankan rainforest at a very affordable price compared to the offers I had found. Once we arrived at the airport we immediately met Suresh, our driver. He immediately helped us in the purchase of SIM cards for the internet and for cash withdrawal. Safeer great driver
Safeer was a great driver friendly willing to wake up at 3am to drive Ella to Yala for a safari trip and then across to Arugam Bay. Car was clean and had great ac and plenty of space for 3. Sri Lanka was beautiful with lots of friendly people and good food.

This company was easy to work with and responsive to messaging even when we changed pickup time for our transfer at the last minute. I toured Sri Lanka for 12 days with this company. The service was outstanding. The driver Shehan was friendly, was always on time with pickups, and had some great suggestions for modifying and supplementing my travel plan. Most impressive is how he took good care of me after I fell and injured my leg on the first day, so that I was able to continue the trip without interruption. We spent 8 busy days with the driver of Ceylon Best Tours. Mr. Gamini always arrived on time, even in busy traffic he drove absolutely safely. The minivan fully suited our family of four. The limited English often did not allow us to get all the information, but it was sufficient for the basic agreement for the transport. The agreed price and other conditions of the transport were met. We definitely recommend👍

We’re two friends who came from Denmark and we had a great time in Sri Lanka. This was very much due to our great and capable driver SURESH!! Suresh was firstly a safe driver and second he was funny and full of good ideas in terms of places to visit. He suggested places to go and things to see that we wouldn’t have tought if ourselves. He kind of ended up being a guide to us just as much as he was our driver. He’s taught us a lot about the Sri Lankan culture and made us laugh more than once. My friend and I spent two amazing weeks in Sri Lanka and decided to book an English-speaking driver for the entire trip, from airport pickup to drop-off. We hadn’t planned out our itinerary in detail before arriving—just the names of the places we’d be staying—but that wasn’t an issue at all. Shehan was an excellent driver for us, very helpful in providing us with tips and places to eat along the way, as well as sharing with us the different landmarks. He was very patient with us with our many inconveniences (lots of luggages, we forgot our iPad at one hotel and he drove back to get it). Dilshan was very helpful with great English. He initially took us from Ella to Udawalawa where we left our iPad in the car. Dilshan kindly offered to bring it to our hotel the next day but instead we asked him to take us to our next stop in Yala. He then also took us onto Mirissa - stopping at various beaches/sights on the way with no extra cost. We would highly recommend!
Excellent and helpful service
Dilshan was extremely helpful with great English. He took four of us from Embilipitiya to Ella, making one tea stop and stopped at the waterfalls in Ella for us. He then brought us back to Embilipitiya two days later and made a stop at the buduruwagala rock carvings with no extra charge. He also stopped and pointed out any interesting animals he saw for us. Would highly recommend!

Best trip I’ve ever made
One of the best trips I’ve ever made was a trip to Sri Lanka with my mom. We weren’t planning on having a tour guide or even renting a car but if it wasn’t for Chameera and his tour agency the trip wouldn’t have been the same. You know what people say ‘the best way to see new places, is from the locals or friends who might live there’, so they can show you around. I can’t agree more. I have studied Sri Lanka from A-Z to see places I want to take my mom to and places worth seeing while we were there. But all the information you read online, extra research you conduct won’t match the knowledge from an experienced Chameera. He had shown us absolutely completely different Sri Lanka from what I had expected. His great experience and ability to introduce Sri Lanka to tourists would leave you speechless. Not only I was able to visit places that were on my list but also I was able to see much more. He had surprised us with tickets to a concert where traditional Sri Lankan dance was performed, he showed us places that wasn’t available for tourists, he took us to local food restaurants and it was mind blowing how delicious those places were.…

Comfortable, efficient service
We used the service twice whilst in Sri Lanka, between Ella and Yala Wild House and then from Yala Wild House to Mirissa. On both journeys, we had Razim as our driver. The journey was comfortable, air conditioned, efficient and on time- if you want a no stress service, definately book with this company.

We travelled from CMB Airport To Cinnamon Wild Yala.It was a very pleasant and comfortable journey at the lowest cost in that Colombo area. The driver gave us very useful tips on places to visit in the area we were going which we ended up following. We had a really good experience being picked up at our hotel in Ella and taken on a Safari in Yala before being dropped off at our next destination in Unawatuna. We had a driver pick us up and drive us to our hotel close to Yala National Park. The drive was fine. After we had arrived, we have been asked to take a picture, to which we agreed. However, we haven’t been asked for our picture to be published on TripAdvisor. It has been almost a week and we have written several messages to kindly delete our picture, but it still hasn’t been deleted!

Day trip to Ella
We did a full day tour to Ella with Samod, which was very well run and very funny at times. The car was comfortable with AC well driven at all times. The tour was the main attractions Ella has to offer and on the way back we went to two temples and a detour to see elephants on the roadside. We would highly recommend this company 😁

Suresh drove us 4 girls around for 3 days. Made arrangements to make stops along the way and he was great to accommodate. Brought us to beautiful Lipton’s Seat, arranged very awesome guides to bring us up on Tuk Tuk. Also brought us to Coconut Tree Hill. He was very good on the roads too, careful driver. We booked a 10-day tour with a customized itinerary, and Dilshan gave us great advice and support in organizing our activities and travel thanks to quick and easy communication via WhatsApp. Pethum, our driver, was always extremely helpful and punctual. We booked a driver for a 3 week tour around Sri Lanka. Once we arrived, we met our driver Saffeer, who was very attentive, flexible, and always punctual. So much of the holiday experience in Sri Lanka depends on getting the right driver. We were lucky to have Suresh. He was a excellent driver. We had a full 9 day itinerary that took us into the Highlands of Ella via Sigirya and down through Yala and onto Tangalle. Suresh was informative and helpful. Fantastic tour with Suresh!
My friends and I did a 9 day tour of Sri Lanka with Suresh and he was absolutely wonderful. He is an excellent and safe driver, with a sweet disposition and great sense of humour. He picked us up from Negombo and first stop was Sigiriya. The remainder of our itinerary was Kandy, Ella, Yala and Tangalle. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble for Suresh; he made sure we got to all our activities on time and booked everything for us that he could with his network meaning we had better experiences than if we settled for what we found online ourselves. We also put him on the spot everyday with picking restaurants to eat and can confirm he has excellent taste! Consider yourself lucky should you have Suresh as a driver!
Tour with fab driver
We started off in Colombo to take care of some family affairs and then moved to Kandy, visiting family, Sigiriya and Dambulla. Then we moved to Nuwara Eliya visiting family and it was fairly cool and rained a wee bit. We then moved to Galle via a stop at the elephant orphanage at Udawallave. We spent a few days there, did a bit of shopping and watching sunsets and then made our way back to Colombo and Galle Face Hotel, which was a serene ending stage. We hoped Supun, and he was a smiling naturally affable and excellent driver. He got us to where we wanted to get to. Always willing to help and gently suggest when it initial thoughts may not have been the best. We all felt safe with him throughout the journey and all fell asleep whilst he was driving. We picked ourselves up after our arrival at Colombo airport and had us taken to our first destination (about 4 hours drive). Then we used the provider again on a more than 4 hour drive. Both times everything worked completely uncomplicated, the drivers were absolutely punctual, friendly and drove very carefully. The cars were absolutely fine. We can fully recommend this provider 👍🏾
10 day trip around Sri Lanka
We were recommended Dilshan from Ceylon best tours by a family that had just used them. We were setting off on a trip of 10 days from Colombo. Was given prices for that tour of £450 from another company. Asked Dilshan and he said he could do that tour for £550, which was an extra £100, but I had a recommendation and thought maybe I would rather go with a recommendation than an adhoc alternative. We booked them. The tour was Colombo to Anuradhapura on to Trincomalee, then to Sigiriya onto Kandy then to Nuwara Eliya which is called Little England. Caught a train from there to Ella. Our driver (Supun) dropped us there and then drove to Ella and picked us up there. We then went to Yala national park. Our journey ended there. The experience was being with a driver Supun who went out of his way to make our experience an exceptional journey, not only with his driving skill but his stories and his recommendations. He was a driver a tour guide and above all a friend. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company, but especially ask for Supun, he is what made our journey special.

We had an exceptional experience with this car hire company during our 8-day journey across Sri Lanka in December 2025, travelling as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Perfect service
Hello! I had two trips within a week. The first ride was from the airport at late night with Safeer. Safeer kindly helped me with my check-in and luggage at 4 am. And the second ride to Kataragama location was with Prabashana. It was raining and went to the peak, Prabashana stayed with us like a guardian until our jeep arrived and communicated with local people on arrangements. A fantastic experience!
I contacted the agency to get a travel quote with private driver for a tour around the country for 3 people lasting 14 days. I immediately got in touch with Dilshan with whom we exchanged my itinerary and he helped me fix it and provided me with a good guide for a trek in the Sri Lankan rainforest at a very affordable price compared to the offers I had found. Once we arrived at the airport we immediately met Suresh, our driver. He immediately helped us in the purchase of SIM cards for the internet and for cash withdrawal. The car available was very comfortable, spacious, always clean, excellent air conditioning, internet always available in the car and always bottled water available. My friend and I were very lucky to have Prahba as our driver for two weeks in May. He was very kind and attentive, accompanying us on hikes and helping us with any language barriers. He made us feel very comfortable, took us to every destination on our list, and was always there when we needed him! The car was always clean and filled with water bottles. Safeer great driver
Safeer was a great driver friendly willing to wake up at 3am to drive Ella to Yala for a safari trip and then across to Arugam Bay. Car was clean and had great ac and plenty of space for 3. Sri Lanka was beautiful with lots of friendly people and good food.
Easy and friendly transfer
This company was easy to work with and responsive to messaging even when we changed pickup time for our transfer at the last minute. Supun was very accommodative and helpful, including stopping for lunch and stopping to point out areas of interest like waterfalls along the way. We had an amazing trip away with Kasun - he made sure that we were everywhere we needed to be on time and helped with booking all excursions. These guys have great relationships with locals so you can get a much better price for safaris, whale watching etc.. Great car and driver for 12 day trip.
I toured Sri Lanka for 12 days with this company. The service was outstanding. The driver Shehan was friendly, was always on time with pickups, and had some great suggestions for modifying and supplementing my travel plan. Most impressive is how he took good care of me after I fell and injured my leg on the first day, so that I was able to continue the trip without interruption. We spent 8 busy days with the driver of Ceylon Best Tours. Mr. Gamini always arrived on time, even in busy traffic he drove absolutely safely. The minivan fully suited our family of four. The limited English often did not allow us to get all the information, but it was sufficient for the basic agreement for the transport. We’re two friends who came from Denmark and we had a great time in Sri Lanka. This was very much due to our great and capable driver SURESH!! Suresh was firstly a safe driver and second he was funny and full of good ideas in terms of places to visit. He suggested places to go and things to see that we wouldn’t have tought if ourselves. He kind of ended up being a guide to us just as much as he was our driver. He’s taught us a lot about the Sri Lankan culture and made us laugh more than once. Dilshan was very helpful with great English. He initially took us from Ella to Udawalawa where we left our iPad in the car. Dilshan kindly offered to bring it to our hotel the next day but instead we asked him to take us to our next stop in Yala. He then also took us onto Mirissa - stopping at various beaches/sights on the way with no extra cost. We would highly recommend!
Excellent and helpful service
Dilshan was extremely helpful with great English. He took four of us from Embilipitiya to Ella, making one tea stop and stopped at the waterfalls in Ella for us. He then brought us back to Embilipitiya two days later and made a stop at the buduruwagala rock carvings with no extra charge. He also stopped and pointed out any interesting animals he saw for us. Would highly recommend!

Best trip I’ve ever made
One of the best trips I’ve ever made was a trip to Sri Lanka with my mom. We weren’t planning on having a tour guide or even renting a car but if it wasn’t for Chameera and his tour agency the trip wouldn’t have been the same. You know what people say ‘the best way to see new places, is from the locals or friends who might live there’, so they can show you around. I can’t agree more. I have studied Sri Lanka from A-Z to see places I want to take my mom to and places worth seeing while we were there. But all the information you read online, extra research you conduct won’t match the knowledge from an experienced Chameera. He had shown us absolutely completely different Sri Lanka from what I had expected. His great experience and ability to introduce Sri Lanka to tourists would leave you speechless. Not only I was able to visit places that were on my list but also I was able to see much more. He had surprised us with tickets to a concert where traditional Sri Lankan dance was performed, he showed us places that wasn’t available for tourists, he took us to local food restaurants and it was mind blowing how delicious those places were.…

We used the service twice whilst in Sri Lanka, between Ella and Yala Wild House and then from Yala Wild House to Mirissa. On both journeys, we had Razim as our driver. We had a driver pick us up and drive us to our hotel close to Yala National Park. The drive was fine. After we had arrived, we have been asked to take a picture, to which we agreed. However, we haven’t been asked for our picture to be published on TripAdvisor. It has been almost a week and we have written several messages to kindly delete our picture, but it still hasn’t been deleted!

Day trip to Ella
We did a full day tour to Ella with Samod, which was very well run and very funny at times. The car was comfortable with AC well driven at all times. The tour was the main attractions Ella has to offer and on the way back we went to two temples and a detour to see elephants on the roadside. We would highly recommend this company 😁

Suresh drove us 4 girls around for 3 days. Made arrangements to make stops along the way and he was great to accommodate. Brought us to beautiful Lipton’s Seat, arranged very awesome guides to bring us up on Tuk Tuk. Also brought us to Coconut Tree Hill. He was very good on the roads too, careful driver. Very helpful with our luggages. Dilshan also recommended good Yala Jeep Tour, had a good trip. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.
Taxi Drive
we arrived in ella by train and were expected (despite the delay) at the station by the taxi. He drove us to the Yala in the middle of the night. 3 days later we booked it for our onward journey to Tangalle. great service, fast response via whatsapp, nice driver, reliable and top price. We recommend!!
Kirinda to Ella

We had the best time with Suresh... he brought us from Ella to Yala and from Yala to mirissa for a fair price. He is a gentleman and a very good driver who has a very good eye for the nature.. underway he stopped several times when he saw elephants, snakes and other animals.. thanks a lot Suresh
Two weeks tour
Eranga and Gim drove us around for two weeks and have been very helpful and flexible to meet our requests. just a bunch of good guys, probably even better for shorter tours in the Yala area.
