I arrange Niroshan as our driver through Realm Lanka Tours Hiroshan was not only our driver but acted as our guide, he helped organise our itinerary prior to leaving home. Hiroshan picked us up at Colombo airport and stayed with us for an 8 day tour of Sri Lanka taking in Newara Eliya, Kandy, Haberana and Trincomelee En route we visited the main sites and Niroshan suggested others that we had not thought about. Hiroshan was exceptional as he drove us and acted as a guide also, he helped us overcome any problems we met and took care of us. We were very fortunate to have obtained his services and would highly recommend Niroshan to future travellers to Sri Lanka.

We booked Niroshan as a private driver for our holiday in Sri Lanka. He picked us up from the airport at Colombo and took us to places we had agreed on our itinerary including Newara Eliya, Kandy, Haberana, and Trincomolee. During our stay to this beautiful island he also recommended sights of interest taking us to places we did not know about. He was an excellent driver always on time, a great guide (with his historical and local knowledge having studied tourism) and became a friend also. We felt really safe and secure in the knowledge that he was looking after us and cared about us, he was so kind and friendly. Excellent driver

We had a great journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya with Niroshan. Communication was great, he was punctual, and the car was clean and comfortable. He drove confidently and carefully, including getting us along the tricky road to our accommodation without any problems. Sri Lanka amazing 8 days trip

Niroshan drove us throughout our Sri Lanka trip (Negombo, Udawalawe, Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Sigiriya, Nilaveli/Trincomalee) and the experience was flawless from start to finish. Even before the trip started, he was in touch with us to help plan the itinerary, suggesting a few smart adjustments along the way, and communication with him was always excellent and fast, both before and during the trip. On the road, he drove safely and carefully at all times, even on the winding mountain roads and through chaotic city traffic. He was punctual every day, the car was always clean and comfortable, and he was very flexible whenever we wanted to adjust the plan. Great drive to Ambewela

Niroshan and Sameedha were both fantastic careful drivers, courteous, punctual and helpful. They were both very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to about life and politics in Sri Lanka. We had a wonderful 10 days with them driving us throughout Sri Lanka and loved every minute of it. We would thoroughly recommend them!

Very nice way to travel and discover Sri Lanka

Niroshan was our driver and guide for 10 days. We arranged and discussed the trip in advance so he took care of our needs. Altough flexible when we wanted to change on the spot. Just ask him whatever you want to do. Niroshan as a guide knows much to tell about everything we visited. Very handy to have e-sim and he is always there when you need him, also late night after dinner out at the beach. All hotels were very good. But if a large 5-star beach resort is not your cup of tea (like us) tell him in advance. He brought us to nice quieter placed outside when we asked for. Makes your holiday a more relaxing experience as you don't have to think and arrange all practical things: hotels, tickets are ready, fast entrance arranged, private safari ranger as a guide. Niroshan is in good condition so he can take you on hike trails up to nice viewpoint.

We couldn’t have had a better guide and companion. Niroshan has many qualities including: -Government licence to guide having gone through traing and an exam -great knowledge and insight about the sites we saw but also about Sri Lanka generally -a great sense of humour - charm and ability to get on with different personalities and cultures ( we are English and Japanese) -patience in responding to our relentless questions in relation to all aspects of life in Sri Lanka - a very comfortable and clean car -a safe and calm driver ( although he confessed that he didn’t think he would be good at reversing at high speed if we were chased by an elephant!) -attention to detail and determination to ensure that we had a perfect experience ( he overcame the difficulties we had getting train tickets to Ella even though that was for after we had retained him In summary he was a very helpful friend to us and we were sad to say goodbye to him -

Fantastic experience made even better

So Sri Lanka is an extraordinary combination of history, nature, beaches, wonderful cuisine and incredibly friendly people. It is a must-visit destination. And some will prefer to do so as a seat-of-the-pants adventure, on buses and tuk tuks. Those travellers will surely find the adventure they seek, but if they don't have unlimited time, they will probably miss a whole lot of things too. If your time (or your patience) is limited, then by far the best way to enjoy this stunning island is by car with a driver. And even better than that is to have a car with a driver who is also a licensed guide. Rather than following a tour itinerary or spending hours waiting for capricious buses, you have a ready source of information at all times. And driving on Sri Lankan roads for any distance at all means more time than you expected.…

Great tour with Niroshan

As a family of 4, mother (48) and three 'children' (22, 21 and 19) we had a great trip with Niroshan. Not only is he a great driver, but also an excellent guide. And great company as well. We got to see the tourits sites but we also had lovely conversations about the modern day Sri Lanka. He even arranged a barber visit for my sons! He picked us up in the middle of the night from Colombo airport and we drove to Galle. From Galle we went to Yala, Ella, Pasikudah, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Kandy. All with a smile and ready to take a detour if there was something interesting. I would recommend Realm Lanka Tours to everyone who is looking for a driver-guide in Sri Lanka.

Friends recommended Niroshan from Realm Lanka Tours to me, and I’m so glad I listened — he made my 3-day solo trip truly unforgettable. I gave him an itinerary (he added Yapahuwa, which was a lovely surprise), and although the plans shifted during the three days, he was completely flexible. Great tour of the Hill Country

Niroshan carried us on our 7-day road trip from Tangalle to Colombo, staying two nights in each of Ella, Nuwara Eliya and Kandy. We'd planned out an itinerary before we came to Sri Lanka but he made several good suggestions to improve it and was knowledgeable and informative about the places we went. His car (a Toyota Allion) was comfortable and his driving style careful and reassuring, important given the chaotic traffic, numerous wandering animals and the sometimes crazily narrow and steep roads. His English was good and he was both friendly and professional. We would certainly recommend.

Me my wife and 3 year old son have traveled 13 days through sri lanka with Niroshan. Everything was top arranged, good and friendly driver and fantastic guide who knew something about everything. And most importantly for us, he was good with kids. Our son was a total fan of his. The very best - driver, knowledgeable guide and valued companion

Niroshan is the best driver we have experienced on our long road journeys through Asia over a period of more than fifteen years. He is a wonderful companion as well as a safe and patient driver. Added to this, Niroshan has recently graduated from the Sri Lankan Tourism and Hotel Management Institute as an Accredited Guide. His knowledge of the land he loves is vast and he conveys this information in a clear and interesting manner. His English is excellent and it is possible to ask questions of him and receive thoughtful, knowledgeable replies. The bonus you get with Niroshan is that he personally takes you around the sites you visit - he does not put you in the hands of another guide or point the way to the ticket office and then wait in his car for your return. Niroshan’s car is very comfortable, with good air conditioning and a big boot, and he has access to GPS - we always found our way around without any stress. Importantly, Niroshan is not in a hurry when driving - he drives slowly and safely and does not take chances on the narrow, winding roads of Sri Lanka which are shared by trucks and tuk tuks, motor scooters, pedestrians and community dogs. Nioshan is a gem!…

Highly recommend Niroshan

We arranged a pickup from the airport to Kandy, and then had two days with Niroshan. He took us the first day to the rock fortress in Sigiriya and Dambulla caves. He came with us all the way round and his knowledge and excellent English explaining all the sites and meanings was excellent. The next day he took us on route to our next hotel and suggested places for us to visit. He was happy to change itinerary to our choice and preference. We had a visit to a tea plantation and he dropped us at the train station and picked us up at the other end. Niroshan is a very safe driver, is extremely polite, friendly and fantastic value for what you pay. He works really long hours, and we can’t recommend him enough.

Epic Train Journey

Train bookings in Sri Lanka are complicated - so this is a great option by a reliable provider. The instructions they provided were perfect - everything worked out exactly as planned. Great views, unreliable operator

This is a long train journey (6 hrs +) but with great views. We took lots of snacks and water. There were also sellers of various things moving through the carriages. İ have given 3 stars because the tour operator failed to get tickets for the 8.30 train that we booked, letting us know just the evening before that we would be on the 11.05 train instead. He was polite and apologetic but ..... İf you know your plans in advance i recommend you buy your tickets on line via Sri Lanka railways then you can pick up your actual ticket at the station on the day of travel. Didn’t receive tickets! Would like a refund!

We booked this and had arranged to meet somebody for the tickets in the morning. However, nobody met us which meant we had no tickets and had to buy extra tickets from the station. We tried to call the number given for the tickets and there was no answer. Complete waste of money. How can I get a refund for a trip I didn’t get to use?! Incredible service and great guy

Unfortunate we hadn’t booked the Kandy to Ella train in advance so we missed out on a chance to get tickets. Fortunately I found this company on TripAdvisor and messaged them and they said they were able to acquire us tickets! With only 3 days in advance too which is incredible! Niroshan who was such a lovely guy came and delivered the tickets to us at the station and they were 2nd class which is even better as we were happy with 3rd class. His communication with us was amazing and kept us up to date on the tickets frequently. Book with this company if you want to get your Kandy to Ella tickets, even if you leave it a bit late like us. Amazing trip with Realm Tours!

We had a very memorable and wondering trip to Sri Lanka with Realm tours. We visited Nuwara eliya,Ella, Mirissa,Galle and Colombo with Mr. Neeroshan and he was always there for us. He managed the train ticket from Nuwara eliya to Ella and also the ticket for our whale watching trip, and was with us throughout our trip. He was very cooperative with our plans and even with sudden changes in plan. He took us to all the places we wanted to visit even though some of them were not in the itinerary. He insisted to stay and wait for us even when we didn't need the car. Our trip was extremely hectic because we covered 5 cities in 6 days but he was always on time during our pick up. His driving is really comfortable and the condition of the car was also great. He also took our pictures throughout the trip. We really had a great time in Sri Lanka and we would like to thank Mr. Neeroshan for his cooperation.

I recommend this trip

Even though it was just me and the guide/driver, I had a great day! The guide had much knowledge about Sri Lanka in general and more specific knowledge about the places we visited. He was easy to talk with and I learned a lot. Activities could also be easily adjusted to my preferences. Note that the entrance fees ans tips are additional, but still it’s good value for the money. After not been able to get tickets for the must do train from Kandy to Ella we was very disappointed however Niroshan was able to find us tickets and upgraded us at no extra charge. We were struggling to secure tickets for a train journey from Kandy to Ella & found Niroshan online. From start to finish he was very helpful and reassuring that he had tickets for 3rd class, on the morning of departure he managed to upgrade to 2nd class at no extra cost, now on the way to Ella very happy and comfortable. Great way to travel from Kandy to Ella

Kandy to Ella train route was fantastic and we enjoyed it a lot. Totally worth the money. Im glad I met this operator before I almost gave up this journey because of lack of tickets. He was able to secure me two, third class reserved tickets to the 8.30 blue train at the last moment. Train compartment was fine and clean. It had a basic toilet. Wow. What an experience. I can say what others have posted online about ella train is true. Its truly an remarkable experience and Im happy that I took the journey. Niroshan was able to provide me a ticket for second class left side window seat, eventhough i booked just one day before. He even offered me free transportation from my hotel to train station. I ended up taking a ride to colombo from ella with him. He is very friendly and a safe driver. Doesn't loose his nerve even to the hardest situations, which I reckon happens a lot in srilankan roads. Hassle free tickets to Ella train

I was not able to get tickets to this journey through kandy station, because it was already booked. Luckily I met a tuk driver who directed me to niroshan. Tickets were delivered in the morning. he also offed us to drop at the station from our hotel. only negative thing is tickets are priced much higher than the printed price. Comfortable Car, Nice Person

Well its us on the profile pic of Realm tours. When we were in Kandy, we met Nirosan through our hotel. We booked a transfer from Kandy to Negombo with him. He was punctual, polite and drove safely. He accommodated our all requirements without hesitation. Next time we come to Srilanka, we will definitely call nirosan to be our guide.
